This is the car which because of the GFC and Holden throwing its lot in with GM America (which is probably a stupid thing to do) that we'll not see on Australia roads, because we'll get the Cruze - that is something I'm pretty well miffed about.
The Astra I/D looks alright I suppose, I mean it's not exactly going to set the world on fire through its styling but it's not offensive either.
As it's built on the Delta II platform, I imagine that it'll be slightly larger than the Astra H/C but about the same size as the Volt/Ampera.
