Reanault quit the Grand Prix Manufacturers' Association. Now only Daimler Chrysler, BMW and Honda remain inside.
The GPMA is dead.

Good news for Max and Bernie. Not so good for Goeschel (he has to look for a job). And bad news (IMO) for the sport itself.

The GPMA is dead.
Monty Python would say it's been "restin'" for quite some time :p

It was about time to crush this insignificant rebelion...

The GPMA has been the F1 equivalent of the walking dead for years. Renault's defection may be the headshot that puts it in the ground for good.

The resemblance is uncanny.
Something, something dark side.
Something, something complete.

IMO good news, but the GPMA has been pretty dead for a while.

Now we just have to get rid of the GPDA (or their bad attitude towards challenging circuits and sand traps), most big manufacteror teams, restore a few tracks (Hockenheim) and replace Bernie. Did I forget anything before we get ahead with the new F1? Oh, more drivers like Eddie Irvine, please!

more like Pope Benedict XVI :p :
Better if GPMA is dead, the last thing F1 needed was a rival category coming from a split, look how badly IRL and Champ Cars do compared to the mid 90's Indy Car days!

It may be dead now, but when the next big f1 fall out happens I'm sure something similar will be set up again.
