Some of you should read this interview of Christian Lorieux and learn from it on how to accept a lost graciously.

http://www.eurosport.fr/rallye/rallye-d ... tory.shtml (http://www.eurosport.fr/rallye/rallye-de-grande-bretagne/2009/mikko-a-eu-de-l'orgueil_sto2104052/story.shtml)

In english: "And, on the other hand, Citroen and Sebastien have been penalized for a very small error, without any technical or sporting advatnage, in Australia (note: a picture was nmissing from the technical file). On a season, luck and bad luck cancel themselves."

Your post where you said'Keeping to the rules is one thing that Citroen has never done.' still doesn't make sense, and your efforts to explain it are very weak, learn to loose with dignity, Mikko fough well but he was beaten and he can take it like a man. Its interesting that Finnish fans seem to be able to accept the result better than some of the UK fans

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, But a great drive from Criag Breen this year to win the Fiesta International championship, along with the irish and british fiesta titles and Irish junior championship in his first season rallying
Don't know what his plans are for next year but certainly looks like a talent for the future

yes indeed great year for the young lad maybe ray ill give him a run or two in the world car more than likely with his close links with m-sport he may go festia s2000

So, it was confirmed that David Senior was certainly correct driver name written on the entry list. Pavlides had to miss the final round and Senior was asked to drive over the start ramp. He did it and then walked home :-)

I have my video online of the WRC Rally GB 2009! You can see the big jump where Miko damages his bonnet and in the first shot Miko almost went off.

Awesome video!

The first shot of Mikko, is it from the first or second run thru Port Talbot? I presume it's from the first round?

Mikko was even closer going off on the second run on that very place. A few "aijai" and "oijoij"s from Mikko and Jarmo heard on the onboard... And in the following junction, Jarmo says "It's going well!" :D

Thanks!
The first shot is indeed the 1st time Port Talbot. He almost went off there ;)
The last shot is the 2nd time Port Talbot, the jump where he damaged his bonnet.
So it was not the best part of the stage for Miko ;)

Yeah, he was really pushing hard. Loeb is more of the clean driving, and that seems to be a bit faster.

Thanks at all the other comments!

I just wondered, what Ford did with numerous T-Shirts "Mikko and Jarmo 2009 world champions" and other stuff, which they had surely prepared before Wales Rally GB. I'd like to have one of such things. It's like having a "Dakar 2008" cap in your collection...

In a post RGB interview with Autosport.com Papa Wilson discusses letting Latvala win in Sardinia.
More interesting is Hirvonen's quote near the end of the article:

Hirvonen, who scored four wins this season to end the year one point behind Loeb, said: "At least our team played it fair and square all year and I'm proud of that. There's no way we can change that anymore and I don't want to. In the end we both had the same chances when we came to this rally and he was faster. End of story."

"Fair and square"? Sour grapes?

N.O.T
28th October 2009, 21:49
fair and square ? right...like when they stacked all the non official fords ahead of hirvonen to allow him a better road postion...yeah

It happened last year. To honest, Mikko got +1 from my side, because there were nearly no tactics or he failed the target time. It is all mostly thanks to his team mate crashes which didn't allow him to set himself behind his teammate like Loeb very successfully did, thanks to more reliable teammate. But like Mikko said. End of story! In three and half months we can enjoy chapter two of battle between Loeb and Mikko in Sweden
