Nothing serious on ss13!
Hopes getting less and less... :(

On the fight for the third place.. there is nice fight again :-)

Mikko is saying that he was absolutely flat out, so i guess he just isn't capable to come closer to Seb.

I wonder if Mikko's trying at all... But anyway, I don't see any fighting spirit in him now. Unfortunately... "Never to retreat, never to surrender. The finest soldiers the world has ever known...." Where are they in rally now. Ah, Greece?

I think Mikko is still trying. He and Sebastien were six seconds faster than others on that stages and I believe Petter and Sordo are still pushing...

But I have to admit it looks bad... :(

In first places is playing the title!

Something that makes me happy in this rally is that Solberg seems too competitive with his new car so hope he can fight for the title next year after a lot of time ago...

How can you say such a thing.

Of course he isn't trying - why should he? He is only trying to win a World Championship!!!!

He has been going flat out ALL rally.

To say he should be going faster is like saying that Barricello should have been going 5 secs a lap quicker at the end of the Brazilian GP....it cannot be done

As for saying he might as well crash - again stupid comment. If he crashes then Loeb has won - if Mikko is going into the last stage loeb cannot relax

nicely done.

As for hirvonen he should keep the rally GB attitude for the next season as well if he wants to be a challenge and not a quiter.

Feel gutted for Mikko, it would be interesting to find out why he was off the pace in Crychan1 & Halfway1-I think with the exception of the bonnet these two stages could have cost him the title! great to see Petter going for it again. pity Malcom didnt give him Jari Matti`s seat next year.Jari is a spectacular driver, but once again he`s "Binned it", he`s just not ready!!

Before this rally if you had asked me who deserves the title,i d answer both.
In GB is clearly that Seb can win in every surface.
Mikko will have other chances to win a championship as he is enough young.

Waiting to see more from Petter, and i didn t saw something from a world champion.Sordo much more impressive imho.

In pwrc the level this year is under zero. When in strong national championships subi-evos are no near a s2000,in pwrc we can see evos and scubis winning stages.

Hope next year be more competetive, with more drivers in last rally driving for championship.

One small statistical correction for http://www.vysledky-rally.cz/vysledky

Egon Kaur´s final time is not correct. He got stuck on the fourth stage yesterday and reached to the end over a hour later.. so therefore was out of contention and he got superally times for all those three stages.

Yeah, the fact that Loeb needed a lot help from his team and Citroen Junior team while Mikko was mostly like one car team driver and still was in the lead before the last round should give him a great confidence. its hardly Seb's fault that Miko always plays safe and goes for 2nd place in hope that Seb make as a mistake?

Miko did not loose because of Citroen tactics, he lost because of his own tactic to drive safe and because Seb is a better driver then Miko.

Regarding team tactics i find it amusing that ford fans already have forgotten all the times Ford have used team tactics the past years to try to beat Seb.

Agreed. If anything Ford was first to start playing tactics, forcing Citroen to respond. Citroen/Loeb didn't only win because of help and tactics - and even if they did, they were on a level playing field with Ford so no unfair advantages.

Congrats to Super Seb and Daniel for winning their sixth consecutive victory!

I also have to add that I was very impressed by Mikko and Sordo this year. And Petter did a fine job proving that Subaru may have had some blame in his poor past performances.

I think iot is another deserved one, it was only because of some less interest in championship that Mikko could return in standings. Just got home after two great days of watching. The gloomy Halfway 2 on Saturday was fantastic, as was Port Talbot today - especially the second running where at least 5 cars drove past us completely ripped apart! JML was sideways like a crab all down the long straights with his mechanical probs.

Much better service park this year for fans I think. Great to see Petter come out on Friday to sign things for all the fans waiting there for hours. Ignoring N.O.T (stand for Nagging Old Twit perhaps?), I thought Petter showed good potential to be competitive next year. If he competes in every round in a C4 next year I wouldn't be suprised to see him win an event or two. Remember he had a lot of windscreen/wiper trouble, he crashed a couple of times (yes, I know that's his fault) and its the 1st muddy event in a C4 for him.

Brynildsen looked good too, shame he was excluded. Sousa's Punto sounded great. A very good weekend overall - welll worth the 6 hours either way and camping in the back of the car! The wind was ridiculous up at Port Talbot - and the rain as bad.

p.s. I know it's not good for Mikko's fans, but at least his problems meant I left Port Talbot with a bit of his bonnet!

Had a great time watching some great action on Rhondda before getting VIP access with Ford at the service area, which was amazing! Met Malcom Wilson and Hirvonen but he was understandably a bit down with the gap so big to Loeb :(

Today we watched from Walters Arena on Rehola which was pretty good as im not normally a fan of areas superficially made for the fans but we saw some great air over the jumps and commitment from Petter Solberg and Miko Hirvonen.

Just saw onboards of JM's and Ogier's offs. Much bigger ones what I had thought. JM had clearly made a mistake in the recce concerning the note(s) after the finish. Then again I felt that maybe Miikka read the note few tenths of a second too late. Whatever, they finished.

Ogier's place seemed rather familiar, huh? Wasn't it the same corner that has cought out Petter, Pons, Sordo, etc. in the history? Atleast looked just like it. After a long straight, combination of right and left which narrows and feels like it has wrong camber on the right hander too. And a bank on the left that takes the impacts. Hopefully Julien's foot is okay, looked like it took some impact.

As for the overall rally, congratulations to Sebastien and Daniel. You really deserved the title, no question about it. After the Saturday morning I knew that game was over for Mikko and Jarmo. I have to say this was one helluva season. Ups and downs all the time.

Or in opposite way champion in PWRC would be also different...

So FIA decided both WRC and PWRC championships. This has become a farce

Congratulations to Mssrs. Loeb &b Elena. I wanted Mikko to do the business but I fear that Citroen are just a much more professional outfit than M-Sport Ford. How many times has a C4 engine blown this season? At the w/e Mikko had to worry about potential half -shaft failure, an ECU malfunction and a bonnet flying open. Bonnet lifting has been a problem in rallying since the earliest days. The design of the Focus bonnet should have a fastening and hinge system that doesnt catastrophically fail because of a heavy landing (front end shunts are different). Pentti was critical in the past about the Focus design, could it be that Seb is also a much better development driver than the rest or does Mikko not get his concerns addressed. Either way, unless there are big changes in Ford next season we'll be congratulating Seb on his 7th WRC win this time next year.
