The last UK rally driver to appear in an ad was Colin so at least Peugeot UK are shouting about their involvement which has go to be good as corny as the ad is!

That's great,I think he's the only one aside Loeb who lately appeared in a commercial!

Especially in UK... hats off to Peugeot for at least making the effort.

Agree, good to see Peugeot making the effort. Have not seen it on TV yet but believe it's on Motors TV and some of the UK satellite channels. Wonder if Peugeot will broadcast it on the main channels?
I guess Kris Meeke's shares on the Motorsport Industry Market are rising high!
At least he deserves It! Seems that the U.K. has finally found Its next rally hero! ;)

I've just learned the meaning of the word corny, and I can easily say it is absolutely corny!
It's good to see Peugeot UK's investment on rallying anyway.

Also Peugeot Italy made a commercial using its driver, Luca Rossetti.
"Peugeot 207, [...], born from victories in rallies"
and the big gold logo says "207 Italian and European Rally Champion 2008"
then see the valley with lots of corners and one of them says "Hey, go slowly!!" haha

Great to see a company promoting their drivers like this. After all, it's what the upcoming talents need!

Reading this thread and the whole Meeke/peugeot UK association I am very curious if all this effort/investment had any impact on actual car sales for peugeot in UK? Anyone?

I would think that is incredibly hard to quantify, but they must have done their research before comitting to year 2.
The important thing is that they are backing it up with press/tv adverts, and also supporting IRC by funding rally radio e.t.c.
