Good Luck to John Andretti in the Indianapolis 500. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g202/gr8link/thum/2ua.gif

I think Jr needs to hit the wall to sort out the handling or to put him out of his misery!!It is clear he or Eury Jr cant sort it.

yawn..........

this race can be a bit of a drag to watch on TV but it's now 5 hours...and still there are another 180 odd laps to go- the folk at the track have evidently decided they've got better places to be as well!!

for once in for all, Stewart owns the name, Hendrick gives him everything. Hass just never had the drivers before to be good.

I was not one surprised to see them up front every week.

Stewart never started a race team, he bought one, his team doesn't build the chassis, engines, bodies, suspension, anything. his ownership is in the name. Its just like how Jeff Gordon is the owner of the 48, but his name is not plastered on the team. but I forgot DW has the IQ of a groundhog and jabbers on how good Stewart-Hass is, but in reality its just Hendrick Motorsports 5th and 6th teams.

on a side note, well done to Joey, I told you all just to give him some time and he'll be a force to be reckon with soon

So the parts and pieces of the team just needed a driver? Hardly.

Without Tony, they don't get Darien Grubb. The Hendrick parts and engines were there last year and yet no one with Haas knew how to get the cars under Riggs and Mayfield to keep them in the top 35. The drivers are a huge upgrade, but again, it wasn't simple.

Tony hired all the crew chiefs, all the new engineers and vetted the direction of where they wanted to go. The setups they run are their own, not taken directly out of the Hendrick shop. Remember, this is no different than Hall of Fame running out of Gibb's operation a few years back and they sucked wind.

There is more to it, but again, you are under the misguided judgement that Tony just walks in once a week and everything clicks. Tony has pretty much turned himself inside out getting this team to this level. This IS different than Jeff Gordon owning half of the 48 and Jeff would tell you that himself.

That's ok tho, I know you wont give Tony credit for it, but you wouldn't have the guts to say all of that to his face either.

Congrats to Reutimann, a really good guy, the franchise wins one...and congrats to Ryan Newman, the rocketman is going to breakthrough this year in his STEWART-HAAS Chevy, not his Rick Hendrick Chevy....

A race team should have to build atleast their own cars, (just like F1) but I can forgive engine buying.

and If I did see Stewart, I'd ask him when he would start building is his own chassis' and cars? once he starts doing that, I'll give him props for his co-ownership. DW and others think that he started the team from scratch, but in all reality, he didn't he hired some engineers and CC (some from Hendrick) and they got instant success because the cars were already proven to be solid.
