I know it is emotional for the last guy to get bumped but Tags got screwed by his team. To leave that time up from yesterday while all were going out on a faster day was just plain stupid. I wouldn't be surprised to see them yank Bruno and put tags in at the back of the field. Total team screw up.

I don't have verses and havne't been able to keep up super well with qualifying but are you saying that tags team didn't even attempt to qualify today? They just assumed that his time was good enough?

Exactly, they stood on yesterday's time thinking 26th on the grid was safe. They had him in line at the end but yanked him twice and ran him out of time. A total travesty. Tags was easily 1 of the fastest 33 cars but today's conditions were too goo. Scheckter withdrew a similiar time to what Tags had, both from yesterday. He and the Coyne crew went out with plenty of time and solidified themselves. Conquest just sat on their hands and did nothing.

So he was there today and they pulled him out of line or no?

Yes, he was there and in line. They pulled him out twice and was in line a 3rd time when time ran out.

Yeah, Tags got hosed. When both Philippe and Duno put down those fast qualifying attempts when the track opened should have put all the teams that qualified yesterday on notice that the conditions were much better today, and that they should be prepared to requalify.

This isn't the correct starting order. Tag is out and Hunter-Reay is in 33rd.

Every team that pulled a car out of the field to re-qualify took a risk, as a crash would have kept them out for good. It is easy to say that the team should have done this or that. Based on Andretti's practice speeds (and that of other Stanton and Buddy) their posted time looked safe. Then Andretti and RHR got in, and time ran out.

The disgrace is that Stanton did not put someone else in the car for Greg Beck and 3-G. The team deserved better....
