I hope lap 13. all of a sudden huge downpour, 7 cars aquaplain out, Button manages to skid/powerslide into the pits, lots of crashes happen, massa spins and spins to the song spin me right round, williams weave a bit of tactical genious and Rosberg wins by spinning over the line with thunder in the background, and only 3 other cars make it to the end.

When first I saw the title thread, I thought you were quoting a Chines proverb;

Rain will fall on lap, when roof spring a leak..... :laugh:

Rain will be much less than expected. Race will be decided by who can race on slicks the longest!

Brit fans will see Lewis walk on the water on lap 22;
Tsumani on lap 23 and stewards will Dq everyone except Sato and Yuong, for missing the podium ceremony, who will be decalered the winner by coin tosses several days later...........

as long as the first of the three cars is Mark I will be happy!

Owing to the late start of the race, increased,darkness, and his perpensity to be dishonest,
I suspect he will "Moonwalk" on water :p :

I stick to my line that F1 will have turned the portable sunny microclimate on and that there will be not a droplet of water on track during the whole race.

Well I consulted my I mother earth cd... And "rain will fall" is track #3 so might not see rain till China? :p :

On the other hand, the song itself runs 5:19 on the cd, so if "Rain will Fall" it will probably start between laps 5 and 19...

I sort of hope it does rain. I would like to see them racing in near darkness and tire spray without proper lighting. What ever happened to safety?

Some forecasters are reporting as high as a 90% chance of rain during the first hour of the race, while other concerns are with lighting. With the sun due to set at 19.20, light will be short in supply towards the end of the race, and any heavy cloud cover will reduce light even further. Therefore any delay in the start of the race, such as that witnessed in the GP2 Asia event, could shorten the race. Should the race be stopped before lap 42, then only half points will be awarded.

This thing is going to be a crash-fest I'm afraid :(

Well, I guess there are a couple "bright sides" to the race finishing before lap 42 and only 1/2 points being awarded...

1st that should mean we will only be 1/2 as upset with the FIA when they overturn the results on the 14th :p :

2nd should leave some egg on Bernie's face so he stops playing with start times. Normally I would be able to have a few beverages during the Malaysian GP, but who drinks beer at 5am?!?

cosmicpanda

I'm worried that if twilight doesn't work out Bernie will demand night races instead.

According to Christian Horner of Red Bull on Finnish TV, it's going to start raining 10 minutes after the start.

Dave B
5th April 2009, 10:39
Whitmarsh just told the BBC "around half an hour" which would tally to within 5 minutes of Horner's prediction.

Wasn't far off was i. I liked it when the main grandstand was struck by lighting, and we lost the tv feed for 20 secs.

UltimateDanGTR

well I was wrong. luckily actually otherwise we'd of only had a 13 lap race instead of 31 or whatver it was......

Yeah but I was dead on the spot......now the question is will it be for the podium ceremony or the weigh in violation that means Massa wins again..... ;)
