Was Texas the last race for the #8 car. Looks like it.

When the #8 goes down the tube look for Truex to go to Gibbs as it gives him a contract "out". I can see it happening very soon.

Yes, unless sponsorship comes VERY quickly the #8 is history. :s

2 team owners started 2008 with 3 car teams each (#40, #41, & #42 / #1, #8, & #15)
but it is now only 2 car teams after the Earnhardt/Ganassi merge in 2009 (#1 & 42) ...
& they say the Earnhardt/Ganassi merge was a success ???
It seems to me that the Earnhardt/Ganassi merge was a FAILURE !!! :s

When the #8 goes down the tube look for Truex to go to Gibbs as it gives him a contract "out". I can see it happening very soon.

There's conflicting comments/info on whether there is an "out" at all for Truex, and if there is does the #34 car deal negate it. I don't think Gibbs or Home Depot is ready to give up on Logano just yet, and if Gibbs wants to ramp up for a 4th car in '10, Truex would be free to pursue it anyway since his current deal only went through '09.
