The winningest drivers in the COT are :
(after 2009 Race 04 @ Atlanta)
Jimmie Johnson has won 12 COT races
Carl Edwards has won 11 COT races
Kyle Busch has won 10 COT races

Jeff Gordon has won 3 COT races

8 drivers have only 2 COT race wins

Jeff Burton
Denny Hamlin

4 drivers have only 1 COT race win

Atlanta's polesitter Mark Martin is winless in the COT so far. :s

Stan...Busch won 8 races last year and they were all COT cars were they not? You have the Shrub down for 3. He annoys me so but the boy has talent....wouldn't want to see the record stand incorrect...

He who likes , or can hang on to , a loose racecar wins . Experience on Dirt ,or hot tracks seems to be a common thread .

The way Gordons driving this year i expect to see him add to that number of wins in the COT very soon.

Yup. It explains the Shrub, Edwards and Clint Bowyer for sure but I think the other guys are adapting. Jimmie ran off road trucks so he has the feel for it for sure. Gordon I think should have been better but I think the other cruicible is tranlating what you want to the crew chief and him finding a way to deliver...
