Ok, so it's not the most up to date game in the world, but it's funny how I spent from 10:30pm last night until just on 2:30am this morning embroiled in a life and death struggle for the electronic world.

Why is it that with games like this, nighttime ceases to cause you to get tired at all and "just 15 more minutes" happened nearly two hours ago? Why also, did I feel so ripped off when a Transport unit of mine carrying 8 Armors was destroyed?

It's utter madness I tell you.

Well, it's been a few years since last time I played a strategy game, but I still remember the feeling you describe.

Yes, I too often share the feeling, although with Civ III ;) :D

I used to kick butt leading the Spanish People's Republic on Civ II :D

I remember once I played from 10PM until 9AM

Its your fault :p why did you sent out a full transport without a battleship escort ;)

I was just talking about Civ II yesterday. It was my first windows 95 game. I used to play it endlessly.

Now partly addicted to CIV IV + expansions, I only play it on weekends but without realizing it half the day goes by and I'm still playing

Civ I is excellent. I'm sure I wasted weeks of my life on that. Bought Civ4 plus some expansion a while back but it just wasn't the same!

Agreed. I recently purchased Civ IV for XBox but I rarely play it. I keep going back to Civ III on the PC.

its the other way around for me, I bought CIV 3 right when it came out but never really played it. Then when CIV 4 came out I became addicted once again

Civ IV is a bit too complicated and advanced, and that in my opinion takes a bit of the fun away.

OMG, I LOVE CIV. Can't load civ I on any of my new machines so I have to make do with III which is cool. Is it wrong nucking cities is fun?

I love Civ IV. Don't think I ever played III. I had II and probably liked it better, but haven't played it in a while. I'm not sure if I can even load II onto my new(ish) computer. I played whatever the new one is on PS3 and it was horrible.

Anybody here play Command and Conquer? Same concept, take over the world, but a bit more militaristic (did I just make up a word?).
