I'm guessing from that you work for a hotel? :p
Two solutions: change the weather or kick-start the economy. I can't see much else you could do.
Sadly it's the wrong time of year for the tourist industry; and almost every business is making economies so you'll probably see an increase in teleconferencing, plus more companies using cheaper hotels or B&Bs for staff who must travel.
Can you get any other part-time work to supplement your income? :)

Maybe the hotel's fully booked but they're trying to tell you something ;)

If they reduce their rate, perhaps we can type at length.

They're also licensed, so can't just take anyone on.
As it happens I'm at an auction tonight for bankrupt goods. Jewellery, mainly, from a shop that went bust. Cartier watches, without reserve, was too good to miss :D

You're thinking of bailiffs. Debt collectors can, and do, recruit anybody they like - usually one of the highest staff turnover industries because the conditions are so bad.

I thought speedy meant bailiffs, but you're right.
I wouldn't do either job. Too dangerous
