Mine is a Vauxhall Corsa

Off all time? The Jaguar E-type Series 1 or 1.5 roadster for aesthetics, the E-type Series 2 (FHC or roadster) for practicality and performance.

Current favorite? From what I've read about it, the Alfa Romeo Brera is a sharp vehicle. Though not yet available here, it's still very high on my automotive Lust List. If I'm not folding tacos in some desolate Mexican border town to make a living when it arrives, maybe I'll get one. I also wouldn't mind test driving a Porsche Cayman S.

Of all time a toss up between my old Alfa which was a ball to drive but you could hear it rusting and needing constant repairs.
The other one was a real sleeper. A 59 Dodge Mayfair with an indestructatible 318 V8 and very modified (stiff) suspension. It was my tow vehicle but could out corner just about anything on a smooth road. Forget bumpy roads!
Recently my former wife's Nissan Pulsar with a Sport Bak. Nice touring car with good handling but dodgy gearbox. Sport Bak (their spelling) increased top speed by at least 20 k.
Dream car - A Z8 BMW. I did get loose in one and shall we say the speed limit was slightly exceeded. Like more than double our 100 k. limit. The speedo was in MPH and I quit at 147. It had more left.
Me break a traffic law? Never. Yeah right.

My first car was a '65 Monza (without the turbo package)
Rear engine air cooled six cylinder! I use to scare the shi+ out of my bros in that thing!
Never drove one but I understand the turbo models were ungodly!

Come to think of it I rallied a Corvair with dealership (read hidden factory) support. Decambered rear suspension amongst other things. Trouble then was on really rough roads the suspension could hit the upper corner of the gearbox and put a small hole in it, as we found out. More mods!
Any way used to really hang the rear out especially on snowy roads where I could put the tail up against a snowbank and just carry on. Could get downright interesting if there was a gap in the snowbank (driveway) that wasn't spotted in time. No pace notes in those ancient times!
Best rally car I drove though.

I do not think my navigator ever looked up from the insturments and his calculations on twisty sections.
I saw him look at me once when I was looking out his side of the windshield to see where the road was going.

Referring to another thread the Corvair, especially the turbo, would have been the ultimate car for 'Drifting'. :D

This depends. My automotive history is rather pedestrian. My favourite car was my 85 Rx-7. Gotta love that redline of 7000 rpm. The sucker would actually safely rev past 8 if you could put up with the buzzer and if you really wanted to fly, you would have to. My brother's old CRX is another favourite I had a chance to drive. It was an 84 but was heavily modified. Two SK Side draft carbs, a real lumpy racy cam, headers, Stebro exhaust, fully adjustable shocks, added sway bars, crossdrilled rotors and 800w worth of strereo with a subwoofer system. In short, it was about 10 years ahead of its time. We used to go hunting for prey at night, Camaro's, 5.0 Liter Mustangs and other unsuspecting fools. In the quarter, it would mop the floor with a unsuspecting 5 liter Stang and to really stick the knife in, it could kill them in the corners as well. It was a great car til an old guy in a hat pulled out in front of my bro as he was scooting along to work one day....


My dream car of "attainable" rides now? I would take a ZR1 Vette or SRT10 Viper. If the family needed to be with me, a Caddy CTS-V wouldn't disappoint although I would have a ton of test drives to make before I really nailed down my choice. I must say the BMW M5 and AMG Benz line would need some sampling!!

In my opinion a Ford Escort RS Cosworth, YBT, T34 model with a serious aftermarket chip!!!!!

Although I'd settle for my 2.8i Capri after I added air conditioning and a cosworth quad cam, 24 valve engine (from a Grnada) and a decent independent rear axle...................

Though my real love would be an RS200 not very practicable though, I'd also settle for a low millage well looked after Sierra RS500................ or a Fiat 124 Abarth, or a Lancia Integrale, hmmmm haven't we had this discussion before? :) :) :)

The guy who went cycling around Ladybower reservoir about 3 weeks ago and took his bike along on the back of his Ferrari F360! Amazingly you can fit a bike rack to a Ferrari! We saw it parked up in the carpark with just the bike rack on the back when we got there and when we were leaving a couple of hours later we saw it parked up outside a pub a few miles away with the bike actually on it. :D

Can you just walk into Halfords and ask for a bike rack for a Ferrari? It sure was held on at a funny angle. :D

The Vauxhall Viceroy I think was one of the prettiest motor cars ever built. Sure, it wasn't a high performance car but it did all of the simple things properly.

Very close bewteen the following two cars for me:

1991 VW Golf GTI 1.8L 8V
1999 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Coupe

Both were great cars. No fancy safety systems and unwanted weight, just pure performance cars. Really miss my old Golf most of the two :(
