Well, it appears that Buddy Rice has signed on with Rubicon/Pacific Coast Motorsports for the 2009 IRL season. For those that didnt know, Pacific Coast Motorsports merged with Rubicon recently. Last year Pacific Coast Motorsports ran a partial season with Mario Dominguez behind the wheel. They didnt have a whole lot of success. They recently acquired a 20,000 square foot facility in Indianapolis, Indiana where they are headquartered. They have not resigned Mario this year.

I wish Buddy Rice well here and I hope to see him as a front runner this year.

My younger daughter will be so pleased. Buddy is her favorite driver. Why? Because of his last name. Rice is one of her favorite foods.

There's a good reason to watch IRL....because your favorite food is a driver's last name. Should be the new slogan.

They should find some sponsors before we can say it's a done deal.

Well, with or without sponsors, that is a beautiful paint scheme. Hopefully they get a sponsor that works with those colors. Would be the nicest car on the grid in my opinion.

I agree, it is a nice paint scheme at least, I remember Eddie Cheever running himself in a car with a similar amount of sponsorship but not in nearly as nice livery a couple of seasons ago, actually did it have any paint on it at all? I remember it was black which is the colour of bare carbon fibre so possibly not, I suppose it saves on retouching the paint job and a bit of weight too - naked is the new fast.
