If I just saw the 2nd video, without the broadcast version, I would think it was a fake or maybe a deleted scene from the movie Driven. Here are the crashes from that movie for the fun of it.

Also, does anyone know what injuries Adrian Fernández had after this accident? Wasn't it pretty bad?

Fernandez snapped his leg if memory serves me right... i had quite a unique view of this accident, i was right next to that stand where that film was shot... very wet, very scary

WOW!!! I'm amazed that footage had never beem posted before now. That was a horrendous wreck.

Quite a shame we won't be seeing Indycars there any longer. Surfers became one of the top racing venues on the planet IMHO. Pity I'll likely never see an A1GP race broadcast in the states.

I don't know if it is one of the great race venues for the design of the track but the crowds and setting do make it a good one.

As for the wreck, that was about an ugly a wreck as I have seen since the 15 Corvette pile up I witnessed at Mosport in a SCCA Corvette event in 88. Same sort of thing, just a chain reaction and cars flying everywhere.

Any footage of that wreck at Mosport Mark? Wish I could had been there, however, the whole not being born this was a bit of an issue.

I find there is a lack of videos of Mosport.
