Interesting. My first thought was that it looks more like a drugged up feeder series car, moreso than any other 2009 F1 car so far.

Wide nose as well. The frontal shots like all look bad but the side shot looks quite good...lots of spare advertising space!
It looks more like a feeder series car because of FBMW running the same livery.
Those exhausts look like a median of Ferrari's and McLaren's. We'll see if they change that before season's start.

anyone else thinks this looks like one of those old formula BMW cars from the front?
I think this is the least impressive looking car so far, the sidepod detailing seems to be very simple. Sometimes simple is the best, but by the looks of it, this is the least advanced looking car so far. Looks more like what i would expect from Force India

Quite exciting news, I have to say. Arguably BMW has been the only team, who has been supporting KERS for 2009 and now it turns out that they may not use it in the beginning either?! May this indicate that KERS might indeed be postponed till 2010 if BMW experiences more problems with the system and gives up its opposition?

Well it's interesting that they are opposing it but won't run it yet.
Maybe they will use it but are trying to divert the oposition's attention from it for now.

If that is true, BMW just wasted a lot of everyone's time and money.

1. Dell is a POS - Don't worry about them.
The cars are looking much better that I originally thought they would. The BMW looks quite good and due to the state of the art wind tunnel they could get right up there one the tip rung!!

Intel is there, but Credit Suisse - long term supporter of Sauber is conspicuous by its absence.

I think they announce that they leave F1 already last season, as they are covering their loses.

Sad to say,
but the 09 BMW to me, looks very ordinary in comparison to other cars.
The white and blue isn't working for me at all...

If Ferrari can have exposed exhausts then I guess a few louvres are fine...

Seem to be entirely legal.
Question:
With the differential air pressure drawing air out, will it disrupt airflow over the rear of the car detrimentally affecting downforce?
