I've kinda forgotten about PCM in part because they're on the West Coast and they've been really quiet this off-season, but according to their website they're still billing themselves as the only "Indy" team on the West Coast, recently held an open house and Team Manager Michael Harvey recently penned and a guest column for Indycar.com, so they still have contact with the league.

I would think they're planning at least a partial schedule, or Indy-only attempt. Has anyone heard anything more concrete, or went to the open house?

I'm sure they are working their butt's off to get on the grid full time this year. This little underdog team seems to be able to put things together quite well. Perhaps that Visit Mexico sponsorship will come together earlier this year as long as MD can get into the 500. That is apparently what the problem was last year.

If they can't get a deal done for the full year, or multiple deals done to glue together for the full year, they will work on a partial, most likely road course schedule (including I500), then try for a Indy 500 only if that doesn't work.

Something tells me we'll see them atleast at Indy. This team has a way of piecing together sponsorship quite well and the I500 must be the easiest out of all of the races to put something together.

This was on the Indycar site today:

It's more of a blog of last season than news, but at the end he mentions wanting to do a full season in 09.

Last report I heard on them is that they may be in a partnership/merger with Rubicon Racing (Jason Priestly & Jim Freudenberg's team) for this season.

Yes, they are about to partner with Rubicon and they are going to use a 20,000 square foot facility in Indianapolis. I do know that Mario Dominguez is not part of thier future, so they will be announcing a new driver soon.

Curt Cavin reports that Rubicon and Pacific Coast have officially merged, although they have not finalized sponsorships to determine how many races they'll participate in and are looking into signing Buddy Rice.
