Iain

I'm afraid we can only have as much as 10 options, so I picked the 10 most realistic ones from the original thread.

can we change reid to harrison please :(
Iain

Sorry, no changes. I only had 10 options available to me and had to take the first 10 realistic names. Meaning no long shots such as Aiello, Cleland etc.

I thought Dan Eaves is supposed to be coming back anyway?
You have a weird sellection of names there.. the good, the bad and the ugly! :D :

It is very close for the driver people most want to see return between Reidy and Gavin Pyper with the two polling the same percentage (27.27% ;) .
I personally didn't expect that. Gavin Pyper must be some driver if he is polling more people than Dan Eaves who I personally rate higher than Gavin. After all it wasn't Gavin who in a very good car got a hat-trick of wins at Thruxton in 2005.

As you seem obsessed with statistics, you will no doubt be aware that a sample as small as it was when you posted isn't necessarily an accurate reflection.
Once a few dozen more people have voted the results will start to take on some meaning :)

For me, Anthony Reid, Kelvin Burt and Shaun Watson-Smith (who hasn't had a good chance to show us what he can do IMO!)

What is Shaun Watson-Smith doing now anyway?
I always thought that Vauxhall should have given him there 3rd drive in 2005.

It's simple - you check three options ;)
I was and still am a fan of Shaun Watson-Smith, but would also like to see Gavin Pyper and Dan Eaves back in. Pyper because it seems a waste of such talent otherwise, and Eaves because he's a fast driver and great personality to have on the grid.

Reidy is a deservedly popular choice, but I voted for Shaun Watson- Smith.

Wonder what he does now and his reflections on his BTCC season? Certainly not forgotten then!

Fariqe Hairuman still drives for Team Petronas. The past two years he's been in the Asian Touring Car Championship in the Proton Impian (finishing runner-up in the championship and winning several races, I believe). This year Team Petronas are making the switch to sportscars and Hairuman will be driving their BMW Z4 M coupe (http://www.teampetronas.com/img/Drivers.jpg) in the Super Taikyu Endurance Series in Japan.

He looked a lot better at keeping the car on track from what I saw on World Motorsports last winter.

I really don't see the fascination towards Anthony Reid!
I would say there's more chance of Fiona Leggate coming back than Reid!

From that List i picked Anthony reid
But all together i would love to see my all time fave BTCC Driver Alain Menu back in the BTCC. But i know that's not happening so Reid is the next best.

I know he's not on the list and likelyhood of him coming back is somewhere between slim and none - but Yvan Muller all the way!

I watched the ATCC last night on Sky and the Protons were running about 4 seconds off the pace of Franz Engstler's BMW. In 2004, Watson-Smith managed to get a couple of fastest laps, that's how good he was.

Why does everyone want Anthony Reid back?
I have watched a lot of videos when he was in the BTCC and all he seemed to do was push his way to the front.
Did he used to race on oval circuits?
AND, he is older than my Dad!

Do you refer to the announcement that KB will be a driver coach to Martyn Bell and will possibily be driving a new BMW E90 later in the season?

28th March 2007, 17:17
I would imagine he does.
I really hope we see Kelvin out in 2007. When he did those few races in 2004 he did so much better than any of the other drivers GA had that year (And that was a lot)
