Does Vista have some sort of virtual/hidden folders?

I can't locate some files or folders using Vista's "my computer thingy", I can see them for example when I search using Irfan view, In vista, I can't see the same files or folders at all.

Is this an UAC thing, or something else I need to put down in Vista?

yes Vista has some virtual folders. I think they duplicate the program files folder. It's quite annoying. When I get back to work i'll see if I can find my post on this forum about it.

If it's program files you're having an issue with they should be here :)

C :\ Users\<your username here>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files

Thanks, maybe now I can copy my COD4 profile to another forlder so I can shut down UAC and still play with the old profile. :)

Yeah I am 99% sure that should sort it. Stupid "feature"......
