Ive been looking at buying WTCC race but was wondering how the game plays on a keyboard or joy pad?

Honestly not very brilliant, but it depends on what other games you have as to whether you can compare it or not. You got GTR2?

I really like the game actually, its really fun driving the BMWs and really frustrating as well. The front wheel drive cars are a bit samey though. Still just as fun. But for me, to actually enjoy the game I have to turn of traction control and steering assistance and automatic gearbox. Helps to save slides in the front wheel drive cars but hinders you is you accelerate too hard and fast in the rear wheel drive cars.

Another feature I like is you are custom make a championship. ie. One make series or join the 2007 field with the 2006 field and race together on as many curcuits as you like and as many times as you like

Well I bought the game a week ago and im hooked! After playing many racing games on the PS3 its great to be able to have proper races against the AI where they dont back off when the get close to you down the straights, or hit you like on GT5.

The only problem is my race starts. I sit there on the limiter, the lights go out and the car bogs down meaning I lose about 4 places. Any advice?

Its a very enjoyable game. There is a lot of scope to do many different things with the car and race setup. The online community is also pretty strong at the moment (at least on racedepartment.)

Though, for maximum enjoyment, I do suggest you get a wheel. Its makes the game so much more fun and will improve your results.

On starting, just ease onto the throttle gradually. Avoid wheelspin. Its a simple concept but takes a lot of precision and 'feeling' of the car to get it right. Hope you get on well with the game :up:

Just thought I'd share; I picked up the retail copy of RACE '07 for $20 when it came out and I thought it was a great value then - $4.99 now is a steal.
