Has anyone made some calculations regarding the possibilities how can Helio win the championship? (I mean, if Helio finishes 1st, then Dixon has to be X place, if Helio 2nd, then Dixon X place etc.)

/me not familiar with IRL points system.

If Helio wins and Dixon finishes no higher than 11th the title is Helios.
If Helio is second and Dixon finishes 25th or lower then the points would be tied and Dixon would win on more race victories.

But there are also 3 points for leading most laps. So...

If Helio wins with most laps led and Dixon finisheds 9th or lower then its helios.
If helio finishes second but has most laps led the Dixon has to finish 18th or lower for helio to still win the title.

Basically helio needs the win to stand a realistic chance of getting the title. And then hope Dixon has a very bad day!

All Dixon has to do is finish 8th or higher regardless if Helio wins the race, Scott still wins the championship.

But we shouldn't count Danica out either, right? She still has a chance to win it all, right?

Helio needs Scotts engine to blow up - if Scott runs the full amount of laps he's just not going to finish worse than 8th. The first thing Penske need to do is get Helio's car to be competitive this weekend. Then they can worry about finishing first with most laps led etc.

Let's see what happens, drivers are usually nervous before the final race. I hope that Scott won't choke, because I believe that he was the better driver this year.

Scot almost surely will win it.
