WRC Deutschland should be a good prep for this round.

Will be a plus having the Scoobie rather than the Lancer on these stages..

Need to build a gap to NOR and Steve if we are to have any hopes of taking the title

After a dismal shakedown (1:14.72) we went back to basics and changed the settings. Wow what a change it made! We set many PB's throughout the day. Stage 4 caught us out with a 1/2 spin into the wall and went wide on a hairpin. Stages 5 & 6 were typical Irish weather, wet and windy! Still we set a reasonable time on the slippy roads. These are my 2 favourite stages of the Rally.
Even with the wonderful co-driver opening the roof vents to slow us down and kept us out of the trees, we went well and are hoping to get some well earned points.

Made changes to brakes (+5) suspension (+5) and steering (+4/+3) compared with WRC Germany and the car behaved much better.

Developed a good rhythm on the left-right-lefts.

Looking forward to results.

9 entries so far!! The most remarkable one is from the Juutilainen family, as CMR2 WRC regular Zes has entered this round along with both of his sons :D That makes me happy as an organiser!

I also sent in my time card.

After my unexpected 7th place in the Deutschland Rallye I was encouraged to do some more recce for this event.

The first six stages of the event went well, setting a PB and some times close to my best times, I just clipped a tree on stage 5 and went too wide a few times but all in all a very satisfactory start.

Then I managed to dive into the woods just after start of stage 7, reversing back onto the stage and getting going again must have cost me about 6 seconds and the resulting damage slowed me down a little as well. After some repairs in service the car was mostly ok again for the last two stages but on the final stage I lost it big time crashing straight into an advertising board at full speed. Apart from losing time because of the impact the car was sliding all over the place and very difficult to keep on the road afterwards.

These stages are a real challenge, if you make a slight mistake they can catch you out big time...

Yes-will need this result to help us down the line....

NOR-did you have rain on stage 6?

10/100ths separating Stever and Ramore-WHOA!!!

Steve is getting up to speed on Tarmac. That ss9 time is incredible

Congrats to Tannat. Well done, buddy .... it's going to be little bit harder for me. I hadn't any rain, just rolled over at SS3. I was a bit nervous all the rest stages and made some mistakes. But your drive was excellent, I couldn't catch you anyway.

I was really upset with myself after Germany and practiced quite hard. The steering change helped a great deal also (I don' t know what I was thinking for Germany using steering at +1)

Good run, NOR
