Watching the race getting started and am just thinking about all these driver-laden commercials. Some are funny, some make you think - and some make you wonder why the drivers agreed to do them. Oh sure, I understand sponsors, etc. - but poor Kasey Kahne in that "Rock You Like a Hurricaine" spot in that hideous jumpsuit. There comes a point when you just gotta put your foot down... lol

It is interesting to see how many different ways these sponsors work to get these drivers into these spots. I have to say - the drivers have been pretty good sports about it too.

Enough commercials and chatter now though - let's go racing!!! :D

the only real good Nascar commercials have been the "Tylonel" commercials with Harvick, Sadler, Gordon, and Johnson.

the Coca Cola commercials are normally good too, but they haven't been great since the RC race they had, back in the day "yeah, sorry about your little car Tony"

That Coke RC racing commerical was the best I've ever seen. It still makes me laugh when I see it even though I've watched it hundreds of times. Sadler's disguise commercial is stupid. He looks like Harpo Marx.

I forgot about that one - definitely in the WORST commercials list!

I wonder if drivers sometimes give each other a hard time in the pits over this.

BTW Ken Schrader's old 'Little Debbie' ad has me saying "KEN SCHRADER? ... maybe" everytime he gets airtime in a race.

The Craftsman one shown during truck races when the robot does the super fast pitstop on its own - where do the wheels come from, and where are the ones it takes off? Maybe I am taking it too seriously..........

You know there are a couple I like... the 800-pound gorilla and Jr... the one where they are talking about getting suspended/penalized (I forget, haven't seen it in awhile) and the guy says, "but you're pretty comfortable with that, right Tony?" and I love the NAPA/Michael Waltrip one where the guy brings in his parrot, "55 is your number Michael, not the speed limit!" LOL

This commercials cracks me up everytime. Harvick's delivery is absolutely perfect and something about the cup of coffee really just tops it off. :D
