International TV Package for '09?

Have there been any news re Indycar international TV package for 2009?
Hopefully there will be some changes to the current one and we'll have coverage on Eurosport or Motors TV in Europe.

Bob Garrage has kindlt pointed out to me that Sky has I believe a three or five year deal with the IRL, so we can only expect a delayed highlights package at best.

Like you I long for the series to be shown somewhere else, as I miss my CART/CCWS races. I live in hope.......

yep Sky Sports signed a three year extension to the contract before the start of this season.

I don't see why Motors can't show "highlights" as they did with ChampCar. Motors Champ Car "highlights" used to be 2 hours long and was often better than eurosports live coverage.

It could be that Channel 5 has exclusive rights to the highlights (would that be something that Sky decided?), but they're really wasting them with the 4am on a weekday slot.

The problem with Five is I never know when the program is on....I agrree with Bob Motors TV's covrage was better than Eurosports...
