Did anyone see the highlights of the ALMS race at Road America. A large Champcar sign was prominently displayed on the front of a Corvette. I laughed my head off. For those of you that missed the race, the Corvette ran in to one of the advertising boards at the side of the track. Apparently they recycled the sign, because on the back it had a Champcar logo.

I drove by Palmdale, California the other day and saw American Trans Air airlines sitting next to the other Boeing 757 and 747.

As I recall, last year the ALMS race drew more fans than the Champ Car race.

The CC sign drew a ton of laughs in the media center. At least there were fans for the CC race last year, w/no CC race this year and a bunch of feeder events on Sunday there was almost no-one at the track. A few in turn five and the paddock but that was about it.

Do you really want to drag that up? The very few of us Champcar fans that have stuck around are trying to give the IRL at least a small chance to win us over as fans however For me at least, It's not going so well. I'm REALLLLY missing Champcar right about now. These cars are just boring to watch, no matter what kind of track. Do we really have to suffer watching these cars for another two years waiting for a new chassis package? I don 't think I'm gonna make it that long.

hey i was a champcar fan way befor i was an indycar fan,,
and like you said you really miss champcar as i do, and that was my point champcar is more well knowing then indycar, as a name,
i have talked about this with other fans too, and it seems like us champcar fans are trying to watch indycar,, and we are not crying over losing champcar, we just miss it,, to me it seems like the indycar fans are the ones crying over more tracks, all the time,
and i 100% agree the races are boring this year its just plan bad,
you are 100% on the money on everything i have talked about this many times with other fans, and im so happy to see some fan out there that see it my way for once, and being one sided to the IRL,,, oh boy i am going to get some hate comments for that one :D haters make me famous :D

That's a shame, then Nigelred5. A shame that you guys think IRL and CC evolved because of you. Why give IRL a chance? A chance of what? IRL and CC didn't owe you guys a penny. If IRL never was your preference, why stick around? You have been watching CART and CC for years and years going against IRL....what makes you think you'll ever accept IRL? By the way you and some guys here still talking about CC how it was great, you guys will never get over it. It's too late for that.
Read you quote again below, the first sentence.

In no way, you will make it long. It will never gonna happen.
Some former fans of CC, like me, have long moved on and accepted the IRL formula. Too bad, that's just the way it is.
