It appears I can't get away from you lot :)

So who am I going to have to try and avoid at Brands when the PuT's come and play with 'the big-boys'?

Seriously, I'm planned as Chief-Pit over that weekend so what "old-faces" do I expect to see?

More the merrier (even Barbara & Sonny ;) )

I'll hope to be there on my free season pass. It depends on the weather

Simon, I have done my time standing at race tracks in the rain including the Rock. If I am not getting paid for it then what is the point of standing in the rain.

Since Mums death I have new priorities and motorsport has fallen down the list. I have now retired from marshalling at race meetings.

But remember even at home I can still monitor what is going on at the circuit via my scanner

there's always one :(

think positive...

the weather is going to be great

the racing is also going to be great

and............

the meeting will run on time!

(so PuT's had better not cause any Red-Flags!) - lol

Your optimism brings light into our hearts. Just don't over do it. You mentioned weather. This is England. It is summer. Expect the unexpected.

The PuT's didn't get "****ed about with like the Lotus's did last year!" if fact they stole the show (yet again) and all the others were effectively supporting them, so I think they well and truely enjoyed be part of the DTM circus. To the extent where after a 45 minute period of down time for DTM taxi rides most of the crowd stayed to the end of the day to watch the PuT's. I didn't see much thinning of spectators.

Something by way of making the point was a quip by a senior Clerk of the Course (who we know) to the senior DTM official that the DTM race should be cancelled and an additional two PuT races be held instead to provide loads more entertainment.

Two absolutely cracking races, well done guys and the lasses you did it again.
:D :D :D

Oh I don't know about that!!!!!

A better idea would be to instead replace the Euro F3 and Polo races?

That way we could get SIX PuT Races :)

(p.s. the senior CofC's first name wouldn't start with a D by any chance would it?) ;)

I heard that if they could of cut the polo race out to put an extra race in for the trucks they would of. dont know how much this is true but if it is it has to be good for the trucks.

The Polo's (& F3's) came as part of the DTM package so I think that would have been highly unlikely as all were under German control.

Yes, they march together under the same banner, so more chance of getting a sunbed around a Spanish hotel pool after a hung-over lay-in.

and they'll be back at Brands for the next 3 years - so see you there? :)

You never know, I might be tempted to try one of those Audi or Merc "Special Saloons" (single seater chassis with plastic saloon body slopped on the top). ;)

ahh but temptation gives you something to strive for.......

I'm going to apply to the US Treasury to get them to bail me out. Right now a team of crack east end forgers are drawing up the multi-million dollar sponsorship agreement between me and Fanny-Mae, the failed US Mortgage lender..... OK, so it didn't really exist, but neither did WMD...... ;)
