For those of you who haven't experienced it. Or, for those who want to hear those engines, and see Doornbos in action again.

I hope we see him again!!

Thanks Jimi -

It only took a few seconds to be jogged out of my IRL daze with that video lap. That's a real honest-to-goodness open wheel racer!

It will be interesting to see how lap times compare and if the IndyCar chassis can compare favorably to Champ Car's racer.

I agree, it will be interesting, and hopefully it will be revealed today.

2005 Pole Time (Lola-Cosworth): 58.628
2006 Pole Time (Lola-Cosworth): 58.560
2007 Pole Time (Panoz-Cosworth): 58.403
2008 Pole Time (Dallara-Honda): ???

I stress that it is not only a comparison of chassis, but mainly of engines. As Hoop-98 said, the easisest way to make the car faster a couple of seconds would be turning up the engines a little bit. And don't tell me not to compare lap times, on this forum we were all born with stopwatches around all necks. I'm not starting a war here, but for transition fans it is simply interesting to compare different formulas, it's like comparing the Panoz to the Lola last year.

Its a good job they didn't use both cars and engines this year then.

The show is still god with the cars they got, but it would be better with Turbo's.

The Dallara is better looking than the DP-01.
