I was at that race - we were all on the banking on the infield after just before the Esses so could see a fair bit of the track. You could see the rate that Waldmann was closing and everyone was cheering him on.

It was an awesome days racing - that race was one I'll never forget. Another momentous occassion that day was a certain Mr Rossi's first 500GP race win.

What bout the 2005 250cc GP at Donington :D That rivaled 2000 IMBO.. DePuniet, Stoner, West all going at it.. Brilliant race ;) One thing you can count on at Donington is drama.. Can't wait..

Yep, I was there for that one - awesome race. Best race I've seen in the flesh.

Those three were at it for most of the race, but one think I'd forgotten was that Hiroshi Aoyama had easily led the first half of it before falling off. Randy de Puniet nearly highsided off coming down the Craner Curves and ran off the track, before getting back on and eventually triumphing.

Hopefully someone over on YouTube has that - one of those days where you wish you kept all the races on tape/DVD...

And since it kinda goes with it, another very kind person has uploaded quite a lot of 500cc/MotoGP races to YouTube here:
