Rallyworld magazine Is it still alive?

Not received a copy for some time now and only received half of the subscription I have paid for. Got an email saying it was being distributed in the UK by a new Company (Unique Magazines) but nothing on thier website and neither organisation has responded to my emails. Feel well and truly shafted by the "Official Magazine of the WRC". At least when Rally XS went tits up people got Autosport.. I've received nothing! Nice treatment and symptomatic of the **** shower that anything connected with the series has become IMO. Whats anyone else's experience? What was the last copy you saw?

I also jumped on this, I think I have received 2 issues, but it is a good while since the last copy came, so it would be interesting to know if I will ever get another magazine.....

Gave up asking for my subscription. After subscribing last year I only received one copy. No answers to emails from them and Unique Magazines refund my subscription after getting little response from the publishers.
Shame - nice to have to have a WRC magazine.

i think the magazine is not well issued for subscriber for the past few months, i haven't know any issues came from that magazine.

I had a letter from Unique Magazines today saying that they are ditching Rally World and offered me a subscription to 'Rally Results' instead.

I didnt take them up on theire offer as I am one of the major contributors to Rally Results and get the magazine for free.

Perhaps aswell you get that free it's a bizarre mag IMO. Wont be taking them up on that offer if I eventually get a response.

By bizarre I mean it is billed as the ultimate guide to rallying, however from what I've seen it's barely a collection of press releases which justifies certain PR people/photographers existence and media accreditation on events. Ok so it's glossy but the structure is all wrong with UK national event reports mixed in with a stage by stage report on a WRC round with repetition of use of the images quite a lot of which (IMO) arnt really up to scratch and which dont really add anything to the the stories.

As for a guide to rallying, where are the how to articles, the sport history articles and even event previews?

As every other magazine on rallying has bitten the dust in the UK except Pacenotes I'm not sure where this mag is aiming itself. In my loft I have runs of Rallysport, Rally Car, Rally Xs, Pro Rally Top Race and Rally, and a couple of others I forget for now (of which of course I will adding Rallyworld) but most of these were more rounded mags again IMO!

Maybe worth giving Unique Magazines a call. Somewhere between the UK and US some names were lost of the subscription database and Unique has been in touch with some but possible not all RallyWorld Subscribers.

Apparently RallyWorld is still going, they just don't manage to send any magazines out to the UK - could add anti american comments here! :D

I'll be giving Rally Results a try - good to have a 6month subscription to see if you like it or not. :)

I opted to go for Rally Results, then remembered what that magazine actually is having bought it in the past, basically results, nice pics (thanks Jay) but lacked content. And at a price too.
I`m really dissapointed now.

I got that letter and Rally Results magazine from Unique Magazine aswell. I only managed to get one Rally World magazine through their subscription and none when I actually subscribed through RallyWorld themselves. I have to agree that if it is the offical WRC magazine it should be available via subscription around the world.
I've never quite understood why the WRC offical magazine is based in the US, the UK or Europe makes more sense.

You couldn't make it up, could you?

Problem is, that there are no other Rally magazines on sale in the UK - when there were - they folded - not making money. Not enough people interested, - yet just look at magazines dedicated to F1 - F1 Racing, Autosport and Motorsport to name 3 - the last 2 mainly F1. You're lucky if one of the car monthly mags gives the WRC a mention.
The promoters should be giving invitations to journalists (especially British) to cover the sport - it can only do good.
