that was a fantastic finish. congrats to Lia, he really came out of nowhere. he proved that passing is possible at Mansfield. Nascar really needs to extend that race to 300 laps to take the one stop fuel strategy out of it. i'd rather see all out racing than the conservation/caution lap deal that was going on.

Donny was the NASCAR Whelen Modified champion last year, he has been in the NASCAR Truck series on and off last year for Bill Davis Racing and made a brief entry and exit into the ARCA Re/Max series during 2006/2007.
He regrouped after going fulltime to modifieds again in 2007 and went fulltime into NCTS in 2008.
He always ran well for Bill Davis Racing in the trucks, even when it was only 1-3 races a year.
He is a great racer, a really nice guy who has kept his feet to the ground and remained level headed. I hope he continues to be successful as he is a great guy.

I used to watch Donny in the Mods at my local short track, and he was a great driver. That was a good finish. You know, for all I bitch and moan about NASCAR, you still can't beat some trucks on a bullring and a Northeastern Modified guy. Great job, Donny!

Good thing Kevin Buckler decided to sign a regional racing champion, something NASCAR has wanted. New team owner, old school recruiting, old school racing, and a win.
