The seeded entry list and spectator information is now available at http://www.gravelrally.co.uk/
Looks like a fantastic entry too with so many WRCs, historics and clubmans :D Just hope Burton can get the Peugeot ready in time because it would be difficult to win the championship if cant compete but currently has problems rebuiling the engine :(

Going to Crychan for the day as you can see nationals twice first time im going to this one since it was called the Mutiny!

Anyone else going???

It looks like a fantastic entry but funding means I probably won't make this one. Just had one very expensive trip to Wembley, car insurance and the odd bit of competing so can't really afford the trip :( Still at least it means I'll be able to have a lie in :)

Having a look at this one and might give it a go, as long as the old man is up for it. Cracking entry and the suneeker was interesting so might be worth a trip. Just a pain that it takes so long to get there.

You should definately go looks like one of the best entry's this year what stages you thinking of goin to :) as for its distance i went to the border counties rally this year from cheltenham that was some trek!!

Usually 2 and half hours is about as long as we ever want to travel to events, especially given that you have to get up early which is not our favourite thing to do.

Still not sure which stages to get to, I'll see what me old man thinks before we plan anything, doubt he'll want to put the effort in.

Rallyst3ve

Halfway might be the best bet for you as it starts at 11.58 gives you more time to get there and not as far to travel but only see the nationals there once

MrJan
27th May 2008, 23:07
Yeah there is no way that I'd travel for any less than twice for the top boys. How far apart are the stages?

Most likely we'll give it a miss. The old man has just come back from holiday, had to loan me an entry fee and has an MOT coming up so not the best time to have to spend £60 or so on fuel.

Rallyst3ve

Not far from Halfway to Crychan 10-15mins there is a stage the opposite side of the car park for Crychan called Cefn i dont know what time its being run yet but if its the last stage you would have time to watch Nationals through halfway then head to Cefn il let you know when have the stage times

I'm usually in Crychan too, but decided to marshal on Radnor......whats it like? I've never been there before.....

Rallyst3ve
29th May 2008, 11:17
Yeah im heading to Crychan too not worth the hassle tryin to see nationals more than twice.

As for Radnor ive never been there myself but have in-car footage of Burton through there and its a real fast and flowing stage quite open with pretty much everything even some tight hairpins so should be good also longest stage of the day at basically 18miles

Oh yes awsome win for Burton absolutely hamered the opposition through opening two stages :D :D
Had good time in Crychan even having to help pull out Jason Lepley's Ford Escort after he decided not to break on a particular corner which was a laugh so many on the tow rope still took ages to get out.

Did some filiming aswell so will post the link for it soon

Had a fantastic day in Crychan, saw Car 116 crash into retirement, and got some great footage all day.

If you look on the Focus picture posted by Ben, there's a certain forum member to the left with the bluie hat and jeans on, holding the camera, I wonder who it could be? ;)

Here's my video of the top 3 finishers in the Nationals
