Hi,
I thought that some of you might be interested to learn about a number of new online motorsports courses which we've developed at Oxford Brookes University.
The first one, currently 'live' and with Race Engineers in nine countries (including two from UK-based F1 companies) studying it at present is Motorsport Data Acquisition. We've worked very closely with industry, including a number of F1 and other teams, and data acquisition systems manufacturers such as MoTeC, to make the course as applicable to the industry as possible.
Other courses which will go live towards the middle/end of the summer are Motorsports Chassis Dynamics (which has five modules: Introduction to Motorsports Vehicle Dynamics; the Dynamics of Racing Tyres; Advanced Vehicle Dynamics; Suspension Kinematics; Suspension Dynamics; and Lap-time Simulation); and Business for Motorsports (usual if you want to learn more about the global motorsports industry, or want to start up a motorsports company, or perhaps become more successful.
All of the courses are online, and can be started at any time of the year, since they have no official start or end date. You can also count them towards a qualification.
More information can be found at:
http://tech.brookes.ac.uk (http://tech.brookes.ac.uk/)
or:

or email me at mmeechan at brookes.ac.uk
Hope this is of interest.
Mike
