That's surely a safety device for McLaren wheels you may be mistaking for aero, PbC. ;)

There was a mention somewhere earlier this year that it's not within the current rules and mcLaren use it for testing something.

I like the cool yellow liquid they use to determine flow patterns (we use motor oil down @ our level) :)

It's a liquid that they apply to critical areas to indicate air flow patterns across the surface. Motor oil has been traditionally used for this.

That's tame compared to that leprosy-inflicted contraption BMW calls their F1.08.

Peter Sauber must be mortified by what's happened to his team that produced those neat, simple, elegant lines.

Of course, he's probably not mortified by BMW's results, but that's not what this thread is about. :D
