If anyone is looking for a great hire for their motorsports program, then you do not have to look farther than Billy Kamphausen.

As director of logistics for CART and Champcar, no worked harder, for longer hours, and handled all the dealings with teams, drivers, media, fans and others, better than Billy.

While some good people from Champcar have found new jobs, Billy is still available, and would be my first hire for any operations, logistics, and organizational management position. He is a tireless worker, who always gets things done right, and on time.

If anyone is looking to maximize their staff by hiring a do all, can do team player who delivers results, ping me and I’ll get you his contact details. I’m sure he would receive recommendations from all those in the paddock, who had the pleasure of working with and for him.

I sent a copy of this to Billy..I am sure he will appreciate it...at the last Inner Circle dinner in Long Beach, over 100 fans stood up and cheered Billy (in his absence) for his efforts on behalf of Champ Car and especially the fans....a special honor

I always knew he was dedicated, but for me the stand out was the preparation and time he put in for the trips to mexico. I don't think he slept that week. He would see off the convoys in Laredo and meet us at the gate in Mexico City in the middle of the night. The work that had to go into getting all of the rigs across Mexico was amazing.

Always ran a clean, organized and fair paddock.

Ditto to all of the comments posted regarding Billy Kamphausen. I work for the City of San Jose and I had the honor of working with Billy on the San Jose Grand Prix for the three years that we had the race. He is the connsumate professional and is as dedicated as they come. Anybody lucky enough to recruit Billy, would have no regrets whatsoever, as they don't come any better than Billy.

My daughter is at Indy on race day morning walking in the garage area. She called and reported seeing Billy and will catch up with him to find out his status. He was moving in his normal brisk pace and looking fit.

I have a friend who has seen Billy here at Indy, too, and he said he didn't have anything going right now.
