I was reading Mark Webber's column on the BBC Sport site, and he mentioned his two accidents at Le Mans, where he almost went into orbit. Does anyone know where I can find that footage ? I remember seeing it on the news when it happened. That would be so, so scary, and to come back and race after that incident takes guts IMO. Anyone have a link ?

Neither of Mark's two pre-race accidents were caught on film, which is why the Mercedes team were shocked but then again a little suspicious after Mark was the only one to crash the car of the 9 drivers for the team. Despite getting the no-no from Adrian Newey, the Mercedes team decided to race anyway.

Here's the aftermath of one of the accidents, you can't see the crash itself, though you can sure see the wreck! (2:30 into the video) If there is footage I'd like to know.

The only accident that was caught on film was in the race, where Peter Dumbreck went skyward's following in the wake of the #1 Toyota going up the crest past the kink in Mulsanne.

This the Dumbreck accident:

I found a funny comment somewhere... all the luck in Mark Webber's career went into those accidents which he somehow survived! He was certainly very lucky to survive that weekend.

Cheers mate, I thought it was footage of Webbers accident, but, it must have been footage of the Dumbreck crash. Thanks again.

Not Webbers incident but a similar one for Dumbreck...
