i think Rzeznik will loose the 2nd place in the last stage to Solowow... 3rd place still is better result in his carreer?

I was wrong... Rzeznik was faster than Solowow in the lat stage and was 2nd overall at the end of the rally!

Béreš is extremely slow now. Does anyone know why?

I know more details now. Beres had problems with clutch today and then he stopped after also differential broke down in his Fabia.

I was yesterday on Rzeszów. Rally was very very short. i seen only 2 stages. Bouffier and Kajto are very fast drivers. From Sloviaka Melicharek i think. I saw Beres but he drove very slow. He came to the service park from SS8 but he didn't gone out from it. Also Orsak was too slow for me , I thought it would be faster on this stages. My next rally is Barum so it must be better than here. :)

PS: RRC sound is amazing for me :)

RRC sound is amazing for me :)

Unfortunately you will not hear it anymore. Solowow said that he is disappointed with Fiesta RRC. This car is not competitive enough against S2000 cars. The 30-mm restrictor is way to small to produce enough power and in his opinion the homologation should be changed. For next rallies he returns to Fiesta S2000.

Interesting that point of view from Solowow... that mens that Snijers did a good job in Ypres with the mini S2000...
I had many doubts about his performance in Ypres.. he was great to see in action... but his stage times weren't impressive, but know, with this testimonial from Solowow I can understand better his performance...

Anyway.. strange that they developed a car to be less competitive than the S2000...

mousti
7th August 2011, 22:26
I would even say a great job! He's 53 years old used to drive Gr B's and the old Group A cars and not the new trend cars powered by electronics and computers. He fits way better at the back of wheel of a car who drove in the 90's. Mini WRC will probably not good enough for the win in Omloop van Vlaanderen but we'll get to see some spectucalar passes by Snijers on the limit. Still not old enough to give it up on the highest level of rallying in Belgium.

In the first place, I would ask the basic question - why were such RRC cars brought to life? Can't drivers in WRC and ERC drive the same cars?!

If I recall correct, it were the manufactures who wanted to have the visual difference between the 'big' world rally championship boys and the rest of the world, simple as that. They want to be 'formula 1 of the dirt tracks' I guess.

In my understanding they were afraid to have let's say one Mini which wins everything in Europe in 2011, so they put small restrictor in regional events till there is more of 1.6T cars around. In WRC they put the big one to be competitive in overall standings. I guess FIA will order bigger restrictor for regional events as well since next year.

Evo X for Rzeznik??? He has changed many cars this year!
he switched cars with Kuzaj. Rzeznik was using evoX that Kuzaj used previously this year (rebuild to R4) and Kuzaj drove Rzeznik's training car - evo9, not a top spec car surely, and he was able to won first stage and then struggled with technical issues (steering column loose, brake problems, turbo problems...) Kuzaj will drive in Rajd Polski with that evoX, Rzeznik will use Peugeot 207

Nothing new in our championship. We have big problems with sponsors and with Tv relation. Also this rally is very expensive, i spoken with people from many teams and they don't like firstly snow rally and secondly place of this rally (North of Poland, they prefer from what i know Rally Magurski). For example Bebenek will have only 12 winter tyres for pre-rally tests and rally...

Always the same stupid opinions. In official interviews they love gravel and snow... but when the cameras are turned off they complain about high cost. When there was no winter rally thay complained about it, when there is such event they complain about that.
Winter rally is too early? Maybe they want snow in summer? Arctic and Janner rallies are in January (first of them in the first weekend of the year!) and the entry list is always rich. Maybe it's time to learn to handle the car better instead of purchasing always the latest evolution of each car part (or the best wheels, best hotels, best petrol, etc.)?

I think that you know what we should see on Elmot Rally, many cars but only for one rally.

Another problem is with entry list in Polish Rally Second League (PZM). This is for guys who doesn't have big wallet and they trying to get a license, but organiser i think don't want them on rallies. Why? Because all drivers must have from this season HANS. I know, it will help if you had crash but it is also expensive for 18years old drivers withour big sponsors.

That's true. HANS in Polish Trophy (or whatever it is called now) is one of the biggest stupidities of recent years. And there were many idiotic decisions in the past.

Unfortunately we have to admit, that rallying as a sport is in difficult situation. The motoring associations, that are supposed to support and promote it, are killing the sport. And it's like that everywhere in the world. Look at FIA (WRC and ERC), IRC, Polish Championship (PZM), German championship and many other countries...

No, he didn't had problems, he is driving from snowbank to snowbank, i don't know why, maybe he is not so good to drive S2000, i think he wasn't enough good to driving DS3 but ....

It is funny to listening what drivers are saying after first stages, for example, Grzyb told that this rally is his first rally on snow after 4 years and his first rally on snow with 4WD. I don't know what drivers doing on winter break in other countries but i know what are they doing in Poland (I'm not saying about illegal recce :) ) ....

Maybe i'm wrong but i'm in 100% sure that Kajto is better than Kosciuszko, Lotos makes a big mistake.

br21
18th February 2012, 19:55
Koltun ripped off FR wheel on first run of shakedown, they repaired it before SSS. He is simply not fast driver, lost some time in snowbank today and retired after service (don't know why). Kajetanowicz is very good driver, very well prepared to this event and he drives in class of his own. Chuchala quite OK as for his experience, he is still learning and improving. Bebenek not that bad, only around 70kms before the rally in S2000 car, he lost lot of time on SS3, when he spun at high speed and then was forced to stop to clean snow from radiator as the engine started to overheat. Rest... in my opinion they are mostly unprepared to snow conditions, don't know how to set-up the car for such conditions, don't know how to drive fast on such surface, also new, difficult stages, snowy conditions are difficult for drivers used to drive the stages using their memory instead of pacenotes...
Chmielewski hit a tree and rip a wheel off...

Urmo Aava utsitab Poola noort talenti - Sport, Auto ja Moto - Postimees.ee (http://sport.postimees.ee/749116/urmo-aava-utsitab-poola-noort-talenti/)
Shortly: Driver is Wojtek Chuchala
Urmo will be there during all the tests and rallies (14 times in total).
He is teaching how to write a stage notes (he is sitting on the back seat during recce and makes notes - he is even learning some Polish tu work better) and during the test he is on the codriver seat and gives tips on driving technique.
He also describe Polish system that each day is with new points and gives credits to his driver for his first day results. He hopes to help him on Polish title in one day :-)

Here is info about Fabia WRC, Rajd ¦widnicki 2012 - Jacek Ptaszek wystartuje Fabi± WRC, Tomaszczyk w Pucharze Fiesty (http://www.rajdy.v10.pl/Rajd,Swidnicki,2012,Jacek,Ptaszek,wystartuje,Fabia ,WRC,Tomaszczyk,w,Pucharze,Fiesty,78066.html)

Driver is not very fast but we will see what he can after winter and test his car. On entry list should be also Bryan Bouffier with his main sponsor Tedex. Nice surprise is entry list for Ford Fiesta R2 cup (about 8car), looks very promising.

From other important news, Kuchar bought Impreza R4, maybe four R3 Clio from upcoming round. Of course if Bryan will not start my main favourite is Kajetanowicz, other drivers i think can be only in "second league".

Good that they do something with rumors about illegal recce in Poland. In Belgium they don't do anything when a driver is doing illegal recce. :(

Wim_Impreza
1st June 2012, 10:41
Illegal recce is not a Belgian problem. I know that there's illegal recce in The Netherlands, France (both asphalt and gravel championship), and in the IRC... I expect there's illegal recce everywhere, very hard to avoid it as the roads are public.

Yes, but in the Netherlands the driver receives 2' penalty before the start of the rally when they saw him in illegal recce. In France, Jean-Marie Cuoq lost his title in the French Tarmac Championship due to illegal recce. In Belgium, they do nothing when they see a driver in illegal recce...

What is €500 for a very big team? Nothing... And that were only a few teams and only in 1 rally. When they should give big time penalties or a ban to start the rally, maybe than the drivers and co-drivers know they did something really wrong.

He can do something good i think, he has potential, it is not a mystery that he have enough money to drive in other countries, he has good teacher and most important he has good results at this moment.

About Kajto i can say only one thing, he is too good to driving in our country. Bebenek like always had problems, yesterday he said that he can fight for a win, we saw something other, very good start for Habaj(Perfect 1st leg), about other just take a look into results and see what is a different between them and Kajto, Chuchala and Habaj.

He was still not very far from the truth. Kajto won 15 out of 17 stages :)

And the explanation of Chuchala's 44 seconds on the last stage is that he made a bad tyre choice and was driving the whole stage on slick tyres in the falling rain :)

Results:
1. Zbigniew Staniszewski/Radosław Korzeniewski (Peugeot 207 S2000)

3. Tomasz Kuchar (+40,9s) (Subaru Impreza)

5. Grzegorz Dul (+2:04.1) (Mitsubishi Lancer)

Maciej Lubiak comes back to rallyling (at least for 1 day :) ). Here is a car for him:

You have to admit that it's not a bad car at all, but he quit rallying a few years ago and is a professional squash player now. Do you like squash? ;)

No, this car is "crap" same like Polo Proto. It has no international homologation...

br21
16th December 2012, 21:07
It's almost the same car as Proto Polos built previously, same body, just with different panels - 208 instead of Polo. Next year it should be possible to drive this car in Polish Rally Champs and in Hillclimb champs - in Poland & Europe. Building cars is one of Dytkos businesses and he earns money on those, he sold all Polos he built until this time without any problems.

For 2013 in Poland looks like Kajetanowicz (Impreza R4) will continue doing national champs, also probably Bebenek, Rzeznik (both with 207 probably), not sure about Solowow. Also Oleksowicz (Fiesta) will be back in national champs after 3 years of competing abroad (2x ERC and SWRC). No official Peugeot Poland team, as they can't support 207 anymore. No new cups also expected. Only Fiesta R2 (R1 also could compete in same cup) and Citroen DS3 R3 (not sure if C2R2 still could compete).
Also new "proto" class, for cars like those Dytkos Polo or 208. There should be also at least one good Subaru in this class, plus some other prototypes are being constructed in some garages but not sure if they will start finally.

Looks like Solowow stops rallying so we won't see him in 2013 on Polish stages.
Kuchar bought 207 S2000 and he will be strong contender for top spots.
One Proto from Dytko goes to Ukraine.
Other Proto, not Dytko-build, could drive few rallies - Fiesta body + evoX internal parts.
Also one or two other Proto cars expected in some rounds.

Yes, as for now 4 DS3 R3T confirmed - Chmielewski, Kornicki, Raczkowski, Typa. Maybe one or two more possible.

There are ten days till Elmot Rally, and there is still big winter in south Poland, lot of snow, etc. We'll see what will happen.

On Sunday there will be small rally (30 ss kms) on stages from Rajd Rzeszowski. Few fast drivers and cars should take part there, at least one S2000 will be there if conditions will be ok.

Kuchars start in 207 is not 100% sure yet. Some problems with money.
Bebeneks 207 was rented from TRT, I don't know who will prepare his Impreza, maybe also Tagai.
Zawada will start with Xavier Panseri in rest of the season, only this first rally with other codriver as Panseri has other duties at this time.

Still heavy snowing in Poland, I'm curious about the conditions for the rally.
