Never seen a 207 with that livery...

It's Mariusz Małyszczycki.

SS2 true stage(17km long) is about to start

Tom206wrc
6th June 2009, 10:19
After SS2 only 5.7s separate the five first drivers(Kuzaj, Kuchar, Bouffier, Solowow and Bebenek) :)

Championship leader Kajto lost a lot on the stage(+19s)

SS3 cancelled due to safety problems :(

SS4 is a very short stage(5km long)...

Tom206wrc
6th June 2009, 14:41
Kuzi winner of the first day ahead of Bouffier and Kuchar :)

Pitty something happened to Solowow in the shortest stage(SS4)he would have been able to fight for podium(he finished leg 7th overall after a big climb back) :(

Anyway, action for tomorrow will look promising :bounce:

Tom206wrc

Kuzaj is still leading the rally, but has big engine problems. He hopes to finish the rally before his engine dies.

Here is what happened to Kajetanowicz yesterday:

And here is what happened to Abramowski when he rolled his car and stopped the stage:

Kuchar is present in the SS12 results, but his stage time is really bad, I don't know what happened.

Conditions are difficult. It was raining at night so stages are wet and slippery. Ruta went off the road. Engine broke down in Typa's Lancer Evo X. Bebenek brothers are also out of the rally.

So, the rally is on!
So far only on ss1: Kuzaj changed the tyre on stage, Beres had a flat tyre, Sołowow had problems with gearbox, Bouffier out, Hadik crashed and the stage is stopped. Ambulance and the fire/rescue brigade on the tage.
The beginning like in Hitchcock movie, I hope Hadik is ok!

If I understand the regulations well (I was never a fan of them), they will score points, but only for the rally. To be calssified in the season, at least two rallies are required.

Who knows anything about Peugeot 207 RC Rallye? What kind of car is it? Does it fall into R3 category? Is it something that Tobia Cavallini was testing in Italy early this year?

Mirek
5th September 2009, 14:09
Yes, it is in class R3 but it's much cheaper and also slower. Basicly it's a car for cups (popular 207 Volante in France or Italy). Engine is standard 1.6 turbo with only new software I think (210 Hp?). The car is for some 25 tousand Euro AFAIK.

Were You on Barum? There was Denis Millet with this car.

Kuchar stopped on the stage which means Bouffier is Polish Rally Champion for the third time. I'm disappointed but no doubt Bouffier deserved this title more than Kuchar. Kuzaj like always had some adventures, Kuchar simply wasn't fast enough and even in N-group car Bouffier won championship. Congratulations!!

PS Kuchar - engine failure due to one of the comment on http://www.rallyonline.pl still I think Bouffier deserved more this title he showed really awesome driving in N-group car.

Yes, it was the last round of Polish rally championship. Bouffier won the championship for the third time, this time in a group N car. Kuchar is second. Congratulations!!!

I don't know if you are aware, but Kuzaj went off the road after already crossing the finish line. He won the stage and... went off the road! Only Kuzi can do something like that! ;)

The second day was very dramatic. It was raining like hell and crews were dropping out of the event one after another... Kuchar (engine), Bouffier (gearbox), Malinski (accident, driver broke his ribs and was hospitalized), Protasov (accident), Butruk and many more fell victims of this difficult event...

I'm am not an expert of the Polish championship so excuse me if my question was already answered before: I rate Kuzaj as a very fast driver, but on the other side he had so many accidents during his career (even with death spectators), but he is all the time in a top cars with best teams...not to mentioned, that he changed so many cars (WRC, gr.N, S2000).
So, how the hell he obtains so much sponsorship mony, even in these financially difficult times??
With a new project I wish him luck, of course!!

Jarek Z
14th March 2010, 10:13
Ucci, don't forget that despite all his crashes Kuzaj is still 4-times Polish champion (with Peugeot Poland team in 2002, and Subaru Poland in 2004, 2005 and 2006).
I think he is still very fast, his driving style is very aggressive, he has controversial personality and many good business connections, so he is a good "material" for sponsors. Plus, last but not least, Kulig and Holowczyc are not active anymore, so Kuzaj is the last one from this great trio.
Even though I'm not a great fan of Kuzaj, good luck with Skoda to him!

With Rossetti the season will be much more interesting. Don't give him big chances for the tiltle as he will miss 3 rounds. Can't wait for Kuzaj-Rossetti competition I think it will not be easy to beat Kuzaj considering Rossetti has rather weaker car and doesn't know polish routes at all, while our drivers know them almost by heart.
Bouffier also didn't know much about our stages :-) But yes, 3 rallies less then others could be not enough...
Kuzaj is Kuzaj, on the podium or off the road ;-)

Kuzaj's Fabia look's really great!

Really nice livery.

I hope he can finish some rallys this year... and not destroy too many Fabias... :)

All the supporting events are cancelled, the start/finish ceremony will also be modified, but the rally will run as it was planned (saturday and sunday).

This is a organizer's message. The final decision must, however, take the PZM (polish federation). Probably, the funeral be held on a Saturday, so surely that day will not be played episodes. With a well-informed source I know that they wonder about run the only Sunday stages.

I thought that official organizer's message included PZM's guidelines/position regarding the motorsport events. It looks it didn't, what's rather strange.

New date of Elmot Rally: 23/25 April.

Which means that Rossetti will most probably choose Mille Miglia...

In the meantime... new car for Solowow:
