There will be a tremendous fight for the victory between Alen and Bouffier!

In this rally no chance for the others...

Tom206wrc
22nd September 2007, 09:17
Bouffier leading Alen for only 0.2s after SS3 :D

Strangely GrNs were in the S2000 times on SS2(Bebenek was even fastest overall)but were a bit more far behind on SS3

[Madeira-Rally]
22nd September 2007, 09:20
Kuzaj had problems in SS2,

In SS3 Alen touched something.. the front of the car is damaged, but seeing his stage time isn't nothing serious...

Michal Solowow's plans for the rest of the year:
ELPA Rally
Rallye d'Antibes
Rally Ireland
Wales Rally GB
In some rallies he will drive Fiat Punto S2000 and in some Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.

After SS4 1.2s is the gap between Bouffier and Alen :D

Amazing duel :bounce:

Jarek Z
22nd September 2007, 12:32
Before the rally Holowczyc said that he was looking at the possibility to hire Pug 207 S2000, but he couldn't find any free car. He's driving Subaru hired from Bernard Munster and is currently in 4th position.

Filip
22nd September 2007, 12:39
Great duel! It's a pity gr N's are too slow for this two guys.
Is that the new car of Bouffier?

Tom206wrc
22nd September 2007, 13:17
You mean new livery, rather Fillip

Anyway Alen is in the lead by 1.9s ahead of Bouffier after SS5 :D

The coming "Mickey Mouse stage"(SS6 at 3.0pm)could be disputed in order to start in front on tomorrow's last leg(6 stages also) :bounce:

Tom206wrc
22nd September 2007, 14:44
End of leg 1 !! :D

Bryan Bouffier won the SSS(SS6)but stays behind Anton Alen for 1.2s... ;)

Tomorrow will be again mega disputed between both drivers :bounce:

HaCo
22nd September 2007, 17:08
Yeah, great battle ther in Poland. Anton Alen has a new fan, come on man!!

A short video from Orlen Rally is here:

Tom206wrc

Bouffier 1.8s faster than Alen on SS7, back in the lead for 0.6s :bounce:

Tom206wrc

Best time for Holowycz :)

HaCo

@JarekZ: suck harder!! :D ;) :D

Great battle in Poland!

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 10:04
SS8, best time for Bebenek in front of Alen and Bouffier...

Alen is still 2nd overall behind Bouffier but back at 0.1s... ;)

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 10:21
AMAZING !!!!

Bouffier again 0.1s faster than Alen in SS9 and gap before the last rerun of today's three stages is 0.2s !!!!!

And battle for 3rd overall between Bebenek and Holowczyc is the same gap, 0.2s !!!!

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 10:38
Holowczyc said that today's stages are held on harder surface (not as sandy as yesterday) and it suits group N cars better. And we can see that in the results - Holek wins SS7 and SS9, while Bebenek is fastest on SS8.

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 12:34
Some nice photos from leg 1:
http://www.rallyonline.pl/g.php?1&pg_[desc]=+DESC&modex=pokaz&T[id]=2587

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 12:39
In another interview during regrouping Holowczyc said that he heard that FIA is planning to increase minimum weight for Super 2000 cars by 50 kg. This will give group N cars better chance fo fight against Super 2000.

I personally don't like it. Group N is boring and Super 2000 cars look like real rally cars and not taxi cabs. And it's real rally cars that should win rallies!

Mirek
23rd September 2007, 12:45
That's realy stupid idea if it is true... :(

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 12:58
Gap between Bouffier and Alen is 3.7s after SS10(still nothing) ;)

Holowczyc takes 3rd to Bebenek but gap is only 0.6s :)

SS11 running...

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 13:06
What happened to Alen in SS11 ????

He lost more than 1 minute over Bouffier :(

Off ?? Mechanical problem ??

HaCo
23rd September 2007, 13:12
Damn, it's a pitty for Alen.

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 13:18
Bebenek rolled on SS11, but he lost only 19 seconds and is still in the rally.

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 13:23
According to http://www.rallyonline.pl Alen hit something and damaged the wheel. And then he stalled the engine on SS11.

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 13:25
Also Kajetan Kajetanowicz went off the road, broke suspensions and retired :s

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 13:27
No Alen on start of SS12(Bouffier is at the start) ??

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 13:39
Anton Alen finishes SS12 in Superrally mode(with a 5 minutes penalty) :(

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 13:50
Bouffier wins the event in front of Holowczyc and Bebenek. What a great rally!

Tom206wrc
23rd September 2007, 14:32
Amazing event !!!! :bounce:

And with a gap of 0.2s between the two leaders with three stages to go it was almost a record !!

Jarek Z
23rd September 2007, 14:49
Provisional Polish championship standings after the last round:
1. Bouffier - 55 pts
2. Kuchar - 32
3. Frycz - 32
4. Bebenek - 28
5. Kajetanowicz - 22
6. Solowow - 19

Mirek
23rd September 2007, 18:02
Tom206wrc: Which record do You mean? The fact that 0,3s was minimal WRC gap doesn't mean that there was no closer result anywhere else ;) 2001 Czech champ. Rally Cesky Krumlov was won by Emil Triner by more stage wins while his time was totaly same as of Tomas Hrdinka.

PLuto
23rd September 2007, 22:38
To Mirek: I think, you forget Rally Sumava Mogul 2005, where gap between winner and second was also 0,0 sec, but titbit was, that first and second were brothers :-) http://www.rally-vysledky.com/rallysport/2005/mcr/sumava

now it's interesting who will be chosen to drive in fiat (Alen?, Grzyb?)and peugeot (Bouffier? Kuchar?) for next year.

Raven
26th September 2007, 14:39
Why do you mention Grzyb and Kuchar? Maybe Lubiak will still be in Fiat and I really don't think that Alen will be satisfied in driving in Poland. I think he will choose IRC or PCWRC.

Tom206wrc
26th September 2007, 15:05
I thought it was Leszek Kuzaj who expressed hope to drive an S2000 next year(never heard about Tomasz Kuchar)

Personnally I really wished Piotr Adamus/Magdalena Zacharko to get the 207 drive :(

Mirek
26th September 2007, 15:37
Tom: Kuzaj has a new 08 Impreza.

GTA

i would like to see Grzyb / Madej in a S 2000 car this year :) they made the suzuki fly in 2007 and he already tested a Polo S 2000 in November 2006 in Germany.

havk
26th September 2007, 17:20
Well I think that Fiat isn't satisfied with Lubiak results. Grzyb is showing good performance this year and it seems that he could be good in A-group car. In interview he said he had sent his CV to Fiat but they chosen Lubiak. Kuchar is 2nd in championship, so I think both Fiat and Peugeot will be interested in him. I wonder also whether
Kuzaj stay in Subaru or try to change the car to S2000.

Raven

I hope he will drive again in Poland, because he shown polish drivers that they are not as good as they thaught. I hope next season will be different, but I can't see any driver capable of beeing faster than him. Only chance is for Kuzaj, but he likes green better than black ;) :D

Some news and rumours from Polish championship two weeks before the start of the season. First entries on the entry list for Magurski Rally:

Piotr Maciejewski - Suzuki Swift S1600
Maciej Oleksowicz - Subaru Impreza
Paweł Dytko - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII
Kamil Butruk - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII

Kuzaj and Kuchar will continue to drive Subarus. Nobody knows anything about Peugeot and FIAT.

One question. What about Holek plans about next season?

Jarek Z
13th January 2008, 15:32
I don't know anything about Holek's plans. Every year there are rumours that he will return to traditional rallying, but they are usually only that - rumours. I think he will end up driving only 2-3 selected rallies, like he does each year. It's a pity, because he may be 45 years old, but he is still faster than 90% of Polish drivers.

havk
13th January 2008, 16:16
Holowczyc could drive Peugeot this year (there was an offer for him) but he wants to drive only gravel rallies. He's still very fast, but I think he could have problems with Polish top drivers on tarmac. The last tarmac rally he drove in 2001... And I'm glad to see Bouffier. I think the only drivers who could win with him are Kuzaj (in weaker car Impreza S14), and maybe Grzyb or Kosiuszko (both Punto S2000)

Everything is correct. Please note, that Malyszczycki's co-driver will be Jarek Baran, former co-driver of Janusz Kulig and Leszek Kuzaj. It will be Malyszczycki's first ever season in Polish championship, so don't expect great results ;)

Oh no, I don't want to say that Kosciuszko doesn't have talent. He is a good driver of national level. But to be successful in ERC or JRC you need to have this little "extra". If I remember correctly he won Polish Super 1600 championship twice, beating experienced drivers, like Grzyb or Frycz, so for sure he has some potential. But for now I would agree with Karbonyl's opinion that Kosciuszko is somewhere between a rally star and a banana kid ;)
But let's not forget he is still learning and he's not even 25 years old so he still has time...

Wil there be a lot of Subaru N14 in Poland? It should be faster than the previous, and the S2000 with the xtra kilos should be slower, so it could get close, let's hope!!!

If it is true about Grzyb, then finally a good driver will drive Fiat Punto S2000 in Poland. Grzyb is not a second Holowczyc or Kulig, but he is still a good aggressive driver. He was already Super 1600 champion twice:

Tom206wrc: Malyszczycki is hillclimb driver! In my opinion he made great progress during the rally. He got ages in every early stage but in the end he was able to be a serious contender. Don't forget that this was a snow rally and that are realy hard conditions for rally debut for hillclimb driver.

It will be a great fight between Kościuszko and Bouffier... they are doing very close times...

As I expected Kuzaj is the best traditional GR N but he don't have a comfortable advantage yet... very close fight here too..

Mr. Solowow is performing good with his new car :)

How is the weather conditions in Poland ?

I suppose the conditions are suitable for rallys.. because the stages average is high... (superior to 100 kms/h)

Wow Bouffier

[Madeira-Rally]
11th April 2008, 11:44
Kuchar had a puncture and lost a lot of time in SS3

Bouffier did an excellent time and took the lead!

I feel sorry for Kościuszko.. he was doing a nice job... but this is rally...

I'm a little bit surprised bye the performances of Czopik and Solowow...

Punto S2000 and 207 S2000 should be very similar to drive... Solowow isn't having any adaptation period...he is performing at his best level now.. (I suppose)

Tom206wrc

Very nice day in Poland I see when looking at results. Pitty for the guys who have bad luck, not a bad drive of Solowow and Kzopick.

A.Crap.Pitty that Fricz is out.Very impresive run by Czopik. Is he much fastest on Tarmac than on slippery surface(why he was so slow in Magurski?).Kajetanowicz is very fast also.I think he would catch Solowow tomorrow. And Boufier.Well,he had had some concurence. But Koscziusko is out...
