Anyone found or is using a good Radio scanner to listen into the Rally and Teams?
Taking my UBC-92lt VHF-UHF 200ch Close Call Scanner (does that sound geeky?) to Italy and wondered if anyone has done the same? Noticed in Finland last year that loads of scanners tuned to various things out on the stages.

Are you sure it was scanners? Normally people have lot's of radios with them in NORF as there is a really good rallyradio that people are listening on stages.

Yep both were in action! Took a normal FM radio for the coverage myself.
But a number of people had scanners and were listening in on Teams and event transmissions.

Yes I find my scanner extremely useful. WRC teams can be found in the 158-160Mhz band, which is then rebroadcast via an aircraft repeater on 162-164Mhz.

Try the following freqs found recently at WRGB or Rally Ireland...the freqs can vary but the DCS/CTCSS tones usually don't so are a good indication of who you're listening to:

162.725 & 158.750 DCS411 Stobart Ford
163.275 & 158.775 110.9Hz Citreon
163.375 & 158.9375 94.8Hz OMV
163.425 & 158.975 110.9Hz Citreon
163.4375 & 158.9875 DCS411 Subaru
163.4875 & ??? DCS025 Subaru
163.650 & 159.375 DCS114 Ford
163.750 & ??? 118.8Hz OMV
163.875 & ??? Ford Stobart
163.8125 & ??? 127.3Hz Citreon
163.8875 & 159.1625 DCS114 Ford
163.8875 & 159.1625 127.3Hz Citreon
163.950 & ???? 127.3Hz Citreon
163.950 & ??? DCS122 Ford

Some WRC TV and support crews on 462.3125, 462.4125, 462.86875 and 462.975.

Jim.
