The Wood team provided a great last Hurrah. My thanks go out to Dave and Linda for several years of hard effort.
They invited many to speak at the last Inner Circle dinner - not all showed up but many of the best did. First was Jimmy, then Dale, Bruno had a couple of good lines and Nelson "expressed" our feelings about TG and there were a bunch of others who made for a great evening.
But we went really wild when PT showed up with TK. They joked about putting together the "Tall and Paul" show. But the highlight was when Tommy said he had a question for Paul: "Paul you always seem to drive like you have nothing to lose, what will you do tomorrow when you actual do not have anything to lose?" We went wild. Paul responded by relating the instructions they had received at the drivers meeting about how this race was important for those continuing with the #%$. Their cars would have their red lights on. Paul said "they would be like a bullseye". We went wild.
I love the sound of turbos. If I return next year it will be with earplugs. My son says he'll also where a blindfold so he doesn't need to look at the crapwagons. Maybe a good set of boots will be in order.
