Some heavy Crack smoking over in that site with the stats but nothing new since their Indy Lights stuff is messed up also.

so they switched the 7 and 8 while sorting the thing out... big deal, should be corrected in no time.

I love it when the DanicaTheDemon thing gets wild.

How is BobGarage's message any sort of slam on Danica? It was a slam on the webmaster of the Indycar.com site. I love it when the Danica lovers find some thing negative in every message that somehow has her name in it.

Its fixed now in the official point standings. I don't think the system is exactly setup to accept duplicate numbers from the Champ Car teams.

it is, and fair play to them for fixing it so quickly.

Nice merger, none of the drivers with a full time ride scored points.

Will Power-53
Enrique Bernoldi-32
Oriol Servia-30
EJ Viso-22
Bruno Junqueira-18
Graham Rahal-17
Justin Wilson-12
Mario Moraes-12

Mario Dominguez will also likely score 3rd place points as PCM is entering the series.

Long Beach was not an IRL sanctioned event but points were awarded for the race. I just don't undestand why for only those drivers who participate in the rest of the season? One-offs don't count?

5, 7, 8 - gee, something's missing there. But I don't want to give away the anwer, let's see how long it takes indycar.com to figure it out by themselves :D

Also, I thought Montagny ("the other Franck") finished second, not Perera.

Overall, it is a bit of a shame that the official website of the series whose schedule Long Beach is now part of is unable to provide correct results almost a full day later. Maybe they should try to copy and paste from http://gplb.com/gplbblog/post/1/56

IndyCar points were awarded to IndyCar teams for Long Beach as not to be penalized them for not running Motegi. In the overall picture all teams drove the same event just in two different venues. As for non-IndyCar drivers I am not sure if they come on board for the rest of the IndyCar season that Long Beach will count since it was ChampCar sanctioned event.
