Well... Dan is English, and as somebody who is (unfortuately) half English I know one thing. The English don't tan, they're white or Lobster colour. There is no middle ground :p :

Helio must have hooked Dan up with the makeup crew from Dancin'. Those male professional dancers have the creepiest tans since George Hamilton. I think he's spent a few hours in the cosmetic dentistry chair as well.
