Everyone was suprised about St. Pete 2 leading lady Ana Beatriz when she led a race for the 1st time. Her moment was cut short by 8 laps when her teammate and points leader Richard Antinucci collided with Beatriz causing a spin. Attempting to rejoin, Pablo Donoso then collides with Beatriz ending her day. Antinucci kept his lead -10 penalty points for the incident. JR Hildebrand held for 2nd place followed by Logan Gomez, Dillon Battistini and Sean Guthrie winding up the top 5. Raphael Matos rubbed wheels with Jeff Simmons on lap 27 ending his chances for a "Daily Double".

Al Unser III overcame a Lap 1 incident to a P6 finish.

Hm, all of that is right except "Pablo Donoso then collides with Beatriz". If you watch the replay on IndyCar.com it's more like Beatriz tries to blend into heavy traffic way before she should have. As far as the Antinucci crash, it looks kind of like the Simmons/Matos crash. Antinucci had the faster car and she was blocking.
