Ok I know I am new to this forum, and motorsport forums in general, but I have been a enthusiast for a long time and right now I am doing a research on F1 history.

So this thread could be all about the 50s (1950-1959, including gp A) so please post only new information and give refference.

Ok thank you for reading this and lets get together a decent history of the beginning.

(I will take the liberty to use the information here to create a graphic novel of that era, so any info is welcome and the novel will be free for all.)

Thank you all.

Ok 1950.

The stats will not be needed I belive, but some other info.

2 drivers died:

Joe Fry (GB)
Raymond Sommer (F)

The Alfa factory survived the war because it had been walled up in a cheese factory.

In May 21 (Monte Carlo GP) Harry Schell raced in F1 for the first time and soon retired due to accident with Ascari, the next race for kim was Swiss GP where he bas 8h (but it has been said he retired)

And from an old F1 racing magazine I remember a post ww2 fact: the Auto Union cars were mostly taken to russia and parts have been found by now - parts broken off and motors sawed to half (so poor was russian engineering that they even didnīt know how to take them apart).

Joe Fry was killed at the Blandford Hillclimb and Raymond Sommer at the Cadours GP

It was the Alfa Romeo 'Alfettas' were reputedly hidden in a cheese factory not the Alfa Romeo factory!

The May 21 race was the Monaco GP or Grand Prix de Monaco not the Monte Carlo GP. The name matters because in some years the supporting race for Formula 3 cars was the 'Prix de Monte Carlo' and there is room for confusion.

What is your source for suggesting that Harry Schell retired from the Swiss GP? All my references credit him with 8th place.

A couple more facts:

1950 was the first year that the CSI of the FIA held a World Drivers' championship based on the results of a selected eight races:
British Grand Prix
Grand Prix de Monaco (Monaco GP)
Indianapolis International Sweepstakes (Indianapolis 500)
Grosser Preis der Schweiz (Swiss GP)
Grote Prijs van Belgie (Belgian GP)
Grand Prix de l'ACF (French GP)
Gran Premio d'Italia (Italian GP)

With the exception of the Indianapolis race these raceswere held for cars conforming to the International Formula 1.

Contrary to popular belief, Formula 1 did not originate in 1950. This particular formula originated in 1947. The World Championship races were not theonly Formula 1 races: in 1950 there were at least sixteen non-championship international Formula 1 races.

The 1950 Le Mans saw the first entry by a Jaguar. It also saw the last victory for a cycle-winged sports car, a Talbot.

Stirling Moss scored his first major victory when he won the Tourist Trophy in a Jaguar XK120

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a WoW Gold (http://www.usfine.com/) genre of online computer role-playing games (CRPGs) in and which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world. As in all RPGs, So please try WoW Powerleveling (http://www.usfine.com/World-of-Warcraft-US-Pl-c-53.html) and players assume the role of a fictional character not Runescape Powerleveling (http://www.usfine.com/Runescape-Powerleveling-c-90.html) and (most commonly in a fantasy world),and take control over many of that character's actions.MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPGs by the number of players, and by the game's persistent world, usually hosted by the game's publisher, which continues to exist or and evolve while the player is away from the game.someone said that is a great idear, but i think it's a nice choose! why? because that and Maple Story Mesos (http://www.usfine.com/Maple-Story-c-71.html) it's a best games items for mmorpg, and somefor games player not to be our best games, lol~ we should try and buy some also we can learn some to improve our games account!
