Im kinda new to wrc but ive always like rally racing just never reall followed and im sort of confused with p-wrc, j-wrc and manufacturer stuff. Let me get this straight and correct me if im wrong. j-wrc is the lowest class(FWD) and is like training for the p-wrc(AWD) right? this is were it gets bad.....pwrc is for like the pros and they have manufacturer teams...every one races for them selves but the manufacturer picks 2 of the people from its team to represent them and the team earns the points that they earn right??....but what about like mistubishi they have cars in the pwrc right why dont they have a team in the manufacturers cup...god im confused some straighten me out lol

JWRC and PWRC are like the places that people learn. In these two classes I don't think that the manufacturer championship exists.

JWRC is indeed the 'lowest' and has 2wd cars and limited engine size. PWRC is for cars that are quite similar to a road car (only few modifications allowed) and the proper WRC is for cars with more modifications and much more power.

The proper WRC is for the professional drivers where teams score points and drivers score points.

http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=410&season=2008 scroll to the bottom there is manufacturers championship

i though the pwrc had more power cause of less resrictions and i guess the wrc had less, they were more like road cars

That link shows the WRC standings not the PWRC.

This page is for PWRC http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=a00

The P stands for Production and the J for Junior

I mean that it doesn't exist in the PWRC and JWRC. To be honest it's not that important in the proper chmapionship anyway, only really used to sell cars and Citroen don't even advertise it that much anyway.

Good question. How does the WRC work?? We'd all like to know, as the F1A sure don't know!
