why, he drove for KHI last year, he's driving part time for RCR this year in the Nationwide Series, Burton, Bowyer, and Harvick all seem to like him. He would be a great teammate, and he would prolly get a second wind like Burton did and could be a title contender yet again

If labonte is going to RCR who gets the 43 ride?. Chad McCumbee?. hes in the #45 for now and i was impressed with him last year. He is Cup material and a testament to the "drivers should race Truck or Busch before Cup" argument.

Petty puts most of its resources into the 43. Its been a solid top 25 ride. Just not good enough to win.

It may not be a given that LaBonte will be driving for RCR in Cup next year, but I'd be surprised if he isn't.

I think Bobby will be going to RCR too but there are other possibilities that could be in the picture. Sad to say there are no real opportunities with Petty Racing si I hope Bobby lands there. At least he'd have a competitive ride which is way more than he has now. As it is I'm sure he's getting whatever that #43 car has to give which isn't a lot.

Don't forget. Petty moved their operation to be closer to the talent. It should start showing sometime in the near future. It was difficut for them to get the best crews and other workers being so far from the Charlotte. Besides, Labonte has similar ethics as the pettys. I don't think it is a given that he will go to RCR.
