Vincent D'Amico is raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with his spinal cord injury. Vincent lives in San Diego , CA and is being treated at Edgemore Hospital .
Vincent has chosen to fundraise with NTAF Catastrophic Injury Fund in part because NTAF provides both tax-deductibility and fiscal accountability to his contributors. Contributors can be sure that funds contributed will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses.
For more information, please contact NTAF at 800-642-8399 or log onto:

Vince suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury between the forth, and fifth cervical vertebrae on April 2nd 2007. After a heroic and successful fight for his life, (which included recovery from ten broken bones), Vince had a cervical fusion. The neurosurgeon gave Vince little hope that he would ever use his arms or legs again, and felt that it was a very real possibility that he would be ventilator dependant for the rest of his life!
His remarkable recovery started with a little movement of his right arm. He was off the ventilator permanently after roughly seventy days! Movement came slowly to his left arm. In late June he started getting hip, leg, foot, and toe movement. Based on Vince’s remarkable progress, he was screened by and is now enrolled in “Project Walk” http://www.projectwalk.org (contributions made at this web sight in his name will go to Vincent’s expenses. All donations need to go through NTAF if you want to be assured the benefit of tax deduction, and fiscal resposibility) If he is able to continue participation in this valuable program he has a very real, yet very optimistic chance to regain the ability to walk! This is a two-year program which is not covered by insurance, and is far beyond our financial means!
If you have questions, comments or fundraising suggestions, please contact me via e-mail at [email:10k88uft]vjdamico@yahoo.com[/email:10k88uft] , or phone (928) 753 6425. Donations may be made directly to NTAF at the web-address : http://www.transplantfund.org/Restricted/patient-detail.cfm?pat_id=2061&CFID=5501708&CFTOKEN=63350618
Thanks for your support!
