UGH, Justin is the fastest CC guy at 14th currently. Is anyone at the track? Can they even hang in the draft with the fast guys?

This is gonna be painful, but I expected it.

BTW, I love seeing the sector times on IndyCar T&S!!

It's not THAT painful, it is only the first race! And the first time they have all been on the track together. I am just excited to see a list of 25 entries!!! When was the last time ANY of us saw those sorts of numbers? Hurrah!!!!!!

Gary

(Carefully checking to see if I didn't confuse 25 for 250 or 2.5 after my last fiasco with math this morning.)

Nah, it is definitely 25 cars. The sector times are distracting me now. My inner-stat-nerd is taking over :)

Oh, woops.

I mean they are dstracting me from the CC teams being in the bottom 15.

It's all good. Just glad to see us all racing agin.

Final times :)

Safe practice is a good thing. The CC guys know what they need to do, get this under their belt in one piece, anything else is gravy.

I love how the top 10 spots in the practice are basically set up by team.

I don't. I find it surprising though that Vision Racing is the team right behind the Big 3 with a pair of drivers I haven't been thinking very highly of.

Well put and hopefully the Champ Car drivers play at safe considering the amount of time they have had to practice in the Dallara.

Sorry, I should had put a smiley at the end or something, it was pure sarcasm. Difficult to read on computers lol.

Technically top 12 since Panther and Foyt are one car squads :)

I must admit it's making me cringe a bit to see the likes of Danica outpacing the likes of Wilson and Bernoldi, although I really think it won't take the CC teams too long to get up to speed :)

arguh - Milka is not at the bottom of the time sheets - that does not bode well......

Her and Moraes will be running for 25th and 26th spot consistently this year. Luckily for those two, one of them will get 24th this weekend with only 25 people running.

I wouldn't think Moraes would do much better since this is his first oval (?). I bet he'll do better on the roadies.

Maybe PT really should have considered the Vision ride. They are quick.

Yes, he should have.

I'm not surprised at the way the top of the field stacks up by team. I remember someone from one of the teams describing the 1.5 mile ovals as basically being an "engineering exercise". Where the driver comes in is on raceday, where he/she needs to race in traffic and keep the engineers informed on track changes that affect the setup.

Ummm interesting. Very....As for PT not being there, most of the Toronto racing columnists (Norris McDonald and Dean McNulty the most prominent) have both reported PT cant get out from Forsythe's contract. In short, Gerry is so damned bitter he will pay PT to sit home and NOT race.
