Jack Roush or "someone" is trying to blow smoke up the NASCAR fan's butts as usual ... http://www.motorsportforum.com/forums/images/icons/tongue-anim.gif

What he hasn't said is the proprietary part is the RoushFenway Bullsh1tometer.

This device is used to proof read any press release made by the team and ensure that NASCAR; Toyota; Hendrick; Chevrolet; COT; Osama Bin Laden; etc, get blamed for any of his teams' shortcomings...

It has taken years of development with Jack Roush personally taking charge of the programme. :p

I wonder if that "proprietary part" were Jack's special Oil Tank Lid Bolts?

I don't know know how proprietary a sway bar can be but obviously MWR thought it was significant enough to try to have the bar copied. I hope Jack fries his cheating azz.

Jack Roush is now a bigger crybaby than Jimmie Johnson :p :Yeah...but it's the only way NASCAR will listen to him since he doesn't belong to the good 'ol boys club like Childress & Hendrick.

geez, he maybe worse than Danica Patrick tooNow that's pushing it...that's like comparing him to Kevin Harvick's fan base! :p

From what I've read and heard on this story, there's something to what Roush is saying. As it's been pointed out, the sway bar is not one of the inspection breakdown parts that would have just "been laying around" as Waltrip claims. There is apparently a significant amount of engineering involved in the manufacturing of this particular part. It's one of the few parts that NASCAR allows teams to develop on their own to improve performance. If Waltrip would have ended up with say, a shock mount or wheel hub, it's wouldn't be a big deal. Considering that MWR was (and still is IMO) in dire staits for better performance at the time this part was taken, it's not a surprise that they could begin to resort to such measures. You can counter allogations with the LV issue on the oil tank all you want, but remember the accused in this incident used rocket fuel at Daytona to make the show.

It easy to dismiss this as much ado about nothing because Jack is always whining about something and MWR are known cheaters. That said, Kyle Petty thoroughly explained the possible significance of the sway bar metallurgy on Tradin' Paint. It's because of that latitude they have with the sway bar that it could very well be a proprietary part.

Everyone can argue back and forth and bitch about what Roush has done in the past, but the fact remains that Mikey's team had a sway bar that belonged to Roush. I hardly think that the Easter Bunny took the sway bar from Roush.

If the sway bar was/is such a secret I'd be keeping my mouth shut about it and work on improving it waaaaaay beyond what MWR could manage or afford.

Yep, if it is such a secret, how come MWR managed to get their hands on it, AND left it lying around in plain sight of everyone.

If I was Mr Roush, I would be asking why it wasn't being guarded.

But then again, if I was Mr Roush, I would be a whinging windbag... :p

Perhaps Mr Roush took it over to MWR, placed it on the table and then cried "FOUL". After all, it is MWR and everyone knows they are cheats, right?

But that would be a very dastardly thing to do wouldn't it Mutley? :p
