My drivers to go home

44. Kyle Petty
45. Tony Raines
46. Regan Smith
47. Patrick Carpentier

I think Andretti should get in. He wrangled the #49 into quite alot of races last year.

RaceFanStan

John Andretti is in the #34 now & I think it isn't up to speed.
Andretti is a good driver but I fear the #34 car will be sadly lacking. :s

Prediction of T-storms are 30% for Friday & Saturday. If qualifing is rained out, #08 Raines, #10 Carpentier, #34 Andretti & #84 Skinner will miss race.

RaceFanStan
27th March 2008, 01:52
That is a shame for Skinner as he would have a good shot of qualifying for the race. :s

Erm - Franchitti is in the show.

He drew with Kyle Petty on time but Dario makes it in because he is higher in owners points.

At least it didn't rain which is good.

Hope Vickers and Mears have a good race from way back there. Mears needs a good run after the disappointing start he has had to the season.

Dragon has done well to get 4th lets hope he can stay near the top and gets a good result.

Also a great job by Bill Elliott (17th) that's got to of cheered up a lot of guys at Wood Brothers, and Dave Blaney (18th)

Blaney in 43rd not good.

Top Rookie Regan Smith in 14th.

Nascar failed to really control some drivers today.

they should've parked the Skinner, Gordon, and Kenseth today. They had to be involved with almost every caution today. and when Kenseth went after Gilliland, that should've been the end of the line for Kenseth.

the race was a downer until the final 50 laps when the top 5 were all going at it.

once again DW was in near tears because his boys failed to win today again

almirola hit everything on the track.

Kenseth penalized 2 laps for aggressive driving....sorry trstan. :)

another 2 laps and Gordon would have won. :)

I thought it was a pretty good martinsville race and will give it a rating of 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

maybe still in mourning over Wisconsins loss :D

I thought Michael McDowell did very well today, the only thing he did wrong was at the end when he held up Burton and the others in the closing stages of the race

Hello everyone.

I used to be a fan of NASCAR a few years ago, but got sidetracked with other racing disciplines. WRC, A1GP, F1, CCWS and ALMS. Well the bottom is falling out of the WRC, A1GP is full of amateurs, Formula 1 is lame, and CCWS tanked. ALMS is the only motorsport that really attracts my attention, but the races are few and far between compared to other forms of racing.

Today was a bit different because I woke up and turned on the tube to see NASCAR. To be honest I wanted to watch Texas v. Memphis as well, so I just managed to flip the channels back and forth.

The point I'm trying to make was that the racing was great. NASCAR is exciting and I had forgotten all about that factor. The weather wasn't fabulous but I will watch the upcoming race in Texas. I may get back into watching this sport.

Cheers!

The only change in the results is Brian Vickers moving from 29th to 23rd moving David Gilliland, Bobby Labonte, Michael McDowell, J.J. Yeley, Sam Hornish Jr. and Patrick Carpentier all down one place.

For the last 3 races at least, Nascar.com has posted incorrect unofficial results & points for all the drivers 2 or 3 laps down. (I think it's a software bug.) FoxTrax has been correct, (where they had some problems last year.) The standings at Jayski were correct though.

Kenseth penalized 2 laps for aggressive driving....sorry trstan. :) No worries! He was in 30th at the time and went back to 35th after the two lap penalty, and ended up back in 30th at the end of the race...so he didn't lose that much! :D

maybe still in mourning over Wisconsins loss :D Actually was on my way home from the Wisconsin hockey game. Tough to comment on the message board while driving in a car. Yeeeah, they lost to North Dakota 3-2 in overtime, so I'm still in mourning. But I'll get over it fast since they really shouldn't have got the invite to the NCAA tourney with the season they had.

I don't get upset about basketball or football losses since I rarely watch those games.
